The Heavenly Meadows was perfect in his eyes, they lived freely, had an abundance of food and spent majority of their day in fellowship. Ezra focused on teaching the law to younger cherubuns, which he enjoyed doing very much. He cherished every word of their leader, fully immersed in the laws.

When Dove returned to the Heavenly Meadows, Ezra’s tranquil world was turned upside down. The revelation of Melangel’s actions was so contradictory to their teaching. At that point in time, there were clearly two groups: those who wanted to stay and those who wanted to leave. One by one, Ezra saw his friends leave, but most left with hesitations, they could never return to see those who chose to stay or even visit their beautiful homeland. For a while, he told himself that Melangel’s decision was the correct one, but he remained restless, missing his friends and the community they once were. 

Desperate to return things back to how it was, Ezra believed that Melangel’s initial reaction must have been due to Dove’s outburst, and if someone just spoke to them, they would surely understand. He requested his audience with Melangel in hopes that they would reverse their decree and allow cherubuns to travel freely from Burrowgatory and the Heavenly Meadows. Unfortunately, Ezra’s suggestion was met with scorn and disgust, Melangel forbade him from bringing the topic up again. His request had reached the ears of those who chose to stay, including those who were absolutely terrified of sins. Soon, Ezra noticed there were eyes on him wherever he went, the community he once loved became unbearable to live in. All he wanted to do was to help those who had left. It was then when Ezra had started to contemplate leaving.

He was scared to make the jump, but he could no longer withstand the whispers of his peers. Ezra said his silent goodbyes and left his beloved home when all were asleep. Like all cherubuns, he landed in the Heavenly Embassy.

He will seldomly talk about the Heavenly Meadows since it only brings painful memories, he silently grieves the loss of his old home. He thinks that it is sin that have brought it to ruin, however, Ezra does not blame cherubuns, such as Dove, for it. Contrary to Primrose's stern approach, Ezra pities those who sins, he believes that they don't know any better.

Ruth introduced him to Velveteen, who brought Ezra on as a part-time underwear model. He did modelling for a few months until he met Harlow. After learning that Harlow runs a produce farm which feeds Burrowgatory, Ezra could not think of anything more invaluable to give back to the community, and so, he became a farmhand.

Ezra has begun to open up more and become less strict as he comes to know his community. He still takes responsibilities very seriously and prefers to be straightforward and to the point.
