MYO-2597: Gale

A notoriously grumpy young man who works as a bartender. His attitude isn't really becoming of his profession but he really doesn't seem to care.

In his younger days, he encouraged Ruby to never take anything seriously and feels mildly responsible for her never learning any life skills, if only because it's become a great inconvenience for him. Despite his near constant outward frustration with Ruby he does actually care about her. Getting him to admit that though is a whole other story.

Despite saying he's just a bartender, Gale has a suspicious amount of high value things in his possession. From the place he lives in to his impressive collection of guitars it's easy to speculate what he must really be doing to afford these things.

His home is (unfortunately) open to any of his friends or friends of friends with the warning of 'touch my guitars and I will ruin your life' being the most expressive Gale is usually capable of getting.

Gale has a hard time with emotional nuance. Not that he doesn't necessarily understand it, he's just very one note and blunt. If you're naturally grumpy he will assume you don't like him and will respect that and leave you be, even if you actually consider him a friend. He has a difficulty communicating the thoughts in his head, leading to him giving very short or otherwise confusing answers or responses.

Gale harbors very few opinions or preferences and tends to just kinda stare when you try and push him into making a decision you could just as easily make yourself. He doesn’t like unannounced contact and he’s always been that way. All of his friends know to ask permission, especially if he’s stressed.
