Own Character Favorites

Normal finds himself pushed onto the stage, lights blinding him. There is a small stumble, high heels clacking on the wooden runway. When his vision came back, he found himself looking over the crowd with a curling twist of apprehension in his gut. But that was skipping ahead a few scenes in this story. Normal's day had started Innocent enough. He'd been meaning to meet up with Hela for little over a week now; one of the gambling debtors had failed to pay up. Then had supposedly...

The streets of Burrowgatory were lined with more shops than it seemed there were actual buns here. Even still, each was filled with busy bodies, arguing over prices, bargaining, and stealing. There was a cool hint in the air, one that was welcome after the warm summer months had added an unreasonable amount of heat and humidity to the upper levels.  ...

It was well past midnight and even though pretty much everyone at the church was asleep at this time, (choosing to sleep early in order to get up early and therefore finish chores early as well) one man was certainly still well awake, with a plan ready to be executed. Orryn stealthily made his way through the corridors, making sure the coast was clear and making sure that nobody’s sleep would be disrupted by his late night field trips. Gaius turns to Orryn, obvious disdain written on his face. Orryn purses his lips a bit, not looking at Gaius back. He makes a sound to note that he is in thought.   “Well. The door to Gaius’ room opens gently and Orryn slips in without a word, letting himself in without permission as usual. The two had grown so accustomed to being each other’s nightly visitors that none of them asked for permission before entry and honestly, they shared most things aside from rooms. Currently,  there was a very blurry line between what was Gaius’ and what was Orryn’s. Everything was pretty much shared between them.   ...

“Gaius be careful!! You might slip!” Orryn calls out half laughing, waving his arms at the other while in the safety of a shed. The other man comes running, clutching his hat as he makes his way to Orryn. He slips a little bit as he makes his way there, but Orryn catches him in his arms before he falls. “See, I told you!” he says, shaking his head slightly. They both laugh, straightening themselves up, Gaius removing his hat and setting it down on the small wooden table ...
