[Gift] [Orryn]: Thunderstorms and Scarves
“Gaius be careful!! You might slip!” Orryn calls out half laughing, waving his arms at the other while in the safety of a shed.
The other man comes running, clutching his hat as he makes his way to Orryn. He slips a little bit as he makes his way there, but Orryn catches him in his arms before he falls.
“See, I told you!” he says, shaking his head slightly. They both laugh, straightening themselves up, Gaius removing his hat and setting it down on the small wooden table nearby. The both of them had been walking together from the market when they had suddenly gotten caught in a sudden rain shower. None of them had the foresight to bring an umbrella and the weather was currently unpredictable so there they were now, stranded in some abandoned shed.
“Did you bring your phone? Maybe someone can pick us up with an umbrella.” Orryn suggests, wringing some of the water out of his robes. Gaius nudges him playfully. “You told me not to, since it was just a quick trip, remember!”
The distant sound of thunder causes both of them to jump slightly. Wow. It was really pouring now. They look at each other. “Looks like we’re stuck here.” Orryn says with a sigh, looking around a little. His glasses were horribly fogged up and wet, so Gaius takes them gently from his face and wipes them with his sleeve, before placing it back unto Orryn’s face. It was these small acts of flirting which the two really excelled at. Orryn gives him a small smile, which as usual, melts Gaius’ heart.
“Thanks.” he says, adjusting the glasses slightly. Orryn reaches up to swipe some of the wet hair away from Gaius’ face. “We’re soaked. And it’s cold. We’re gonna get sick and-” he says, with yet another sigh. The other pulls him closer and Orryn stumbles forward, not expecting the gesture. “Well-” Gaius says playfully, putting his hand on the other’s cheek. “Why don’t we… disrobe? It’s not good to wear such soaked clothes, after all.” Orryn rolls his eyes playfully. “Sure. Get horny while we’re in the middle of a thunderstorm. Classic Gaius.”
The brunet grins. “I don’t hear a no.” he says with a cheery expression before moving in to kiss Orryn softly on the tip of the nose. Before he can plant the next kiss, Orryn moves in himself to lock his lips with Gaius’, bringing up his own hand to hold the other’s hair. Mid-kiss, Gaius starts to help Orryn out of his robes which were heavy due to the rain water. Half way through removing the first layer, Gaius leans in to start nipping and kissing Orryn’s neck. Orryn holds his head there, feeling the heat creep up his cheeks and he gasps shortly as Gaius leaves a particularly harsh bite there.
Well. They were going to be here awhile, anyway.

“What… are you wearing???” Gaius asks with a smirk, folding his arms and looking at the other who had just entered the room. Orryn lets out a small huff. “It’s called a scarf. And whose fault do you think this is?!” he says pointing at his neck where the scarf hid the darkened hickey planted there. Gaius laughs which causes Orryn to smack him softly on the side of the arm. “You know you could always just… wear concealer or something. I don’t know. I think that would be a better idea.” Gaius suggests, tugging at the scarf while Orryn tugs back. “Oh sure. So your mouth could be full of make up then when you start attacking my neck???” he says with a roll of his eyes.
Gaius tugs one more time which causes Orryn to lurch forward slightly. “Stop being a menace!” Orryn says with a laugh. “Everyone keeps asking me where I got it!”
Gaius flops the scarf on Orryn’s face. “Got what. The fancy ass scarf?”
“Not the scarf! You know what I’m talking about.” he says with a huff.
A small smile forms on Gaius’ lips. “Oh… well… that.” There is a slight awkward pause between the two.
“I mean, you could just tell them” Gaius says softly.
Orryn is quiet for a bit.
“Oh. I…didn’t think you wouldn’t mind.”
Gaius blinks in confusion. He pulls Orryn close by the scarf and kisses him once, then twice, then another time for good measure. “Orryn.” he says with a smile. “I don’t mind. Next time I see you in the hallway… You can bet I’ll be showing the whole church just how clingy I can be.” And with that he gives Orryn a tight hug, even slightly lifting him off his feet.
Orryn laughs, looking up at Gaius shyly. So… he didn’t mind after all. Since Gaius was such a prominent figure at the church, he thought, well… That he didn’t really want to be seen with a nobody like himself.
Gaius looks down, wondering why Orryn was so quiet. “Hey. Stop thinking. I know that face.” Gaius taps him playfully on the forehead.
Orryn laughs softly, leaning his head down on Gaius’ chest.
“Thanks, Gaius.” he says, inaudibly.
“What?”
“I said I’m already fucking dreading it-” he says, trying to wiggle out of Gaius’ grasp.
And so the scarf came off and instead, Gaius’ wrapped his arm around Orryn’s shoulders as they walked along the halls, side by side.
