Rain Check: Syl

Syl jogged through the rain at a brisk pace as he tried to make it back to his house before he became sogged. There were already puddles on the ground from the rain earlier and he wanted to make sure he made it home before the sky really broke open.

"Should have brought my umbrella..." he thought with a sigh, but it was too late now. So with his tentacles wiggling behind him, he continued on his journey.

Without warning his hooves caught on a rock he didn't quite see, too lost in his thoughts to pay attention to his surroundings like he should have. His tentacles jolted in surprise, and with flailing arms trying to catch his balance, Syl took a tumble straight into a large puddle with a splash.

He swore the rock was laughing at him.

It didn't take long for the bun to register the cool water, the way it soaked his fur and how it felt on his tentacles, the rain that fell on his back. It made him think of how a cool shower felt on a stressful day.

He sighed out, the water bubbling slightly from the exhaled air. His tentacles went wild with their splashing about. After all, the sensation of their natural habitat was always welcomed.  No matter what he did, he just couldn't control them showing how he honstly felt about a situation. He'll have to work on that.

But for now, Syl just lay in the puddle as he was soaked to the bone in cool rain, enjoying the blessing that nature decided to gift him.

And sure, he'll thank the rock, too.





Syl actually really loves water, so even if he tries to act like he needs to stay dry during a rain storm, he's secretly wanting to just stand in it. I've never done comic panels before, but this idea wouldn't leave my head, so wanted to give it a shot.

I appreciate his cute little umbrella.
