[Gift] A Quiet Morning with Coffee

"We're clo-oh hello Viscili." Ione changed their usual chastising tone to a more casual tone as they greeted the grumpy purple greed doll who disdainfully stared at them inside the currently closed cafe. Ah right, they had gone drinking the night prior and Ione had somehow managed to weasel their way out of staying too long due to needing to work the next day and had reassured their partner that they would be fine on their own going home.

"The usual coming up" Ione sounded slightly amused as Viscili scowled while walking past the counter toward his usual table. Hmm. He seemed more sour than usual. Look like the coffee supply at Syndicate burrow has ran out. The gluttony doll went to get the coffee machine started in pouring out Viscili's coffee as they prepared a small breakfast plate of a panini with the fixings they knew the greedy to favor.

When the tray was placed in front of the grumpy doll, he immediately reached for his wallet but a click of tongue from Ione caught his attention as they sat down across from him.
"On the house today. Enjoy." Ione nodded toward the plate and large mug. Getting a gratitude nod in return as the greed dug into his plate. Ione simply sipped at their coffee and relaxed in blissful silence as Viscili set the half eaten panini down so he could start getting caffeine in him with one of Ione's excellently brewed coffee.

Once Ione was sure that he had taken in enough caffeine, they set down their mug and spoke quietly
"Did you guys run out of ground coffee?" His eyes shooting up from his coffee to glare at Ione was answer enough.
"All of them?" A nod and Ione hummed "That's fine. I have few large bags in the back I can give you?"
"In a box would be preferable." Viscili resumed sipping his coffee once Ione had agreed with a simple nod.

"Kuchi is also running low on hazelnut cookie blend. They've also asked for pecan caramel blend as well." Viscili added and Ione nodded "They will be in the next order for later today" The gluttony confirmed as they drained their coffee and got up while taking Viscili's mug to refill. Once they had returned to hand over the second cup, Viscili's plate was empty and the glutton picked it up.
"You came alone." Ione observed. "One has a hangover and the other is somewhere. They will come. Eventually." Viscili grumbled as Ione shook their head, already knowing which ones was being referenced to.
"Guessing Vadim didn't bring anyone back to his bed?"

"He was preoccupied with trying to break up fights and ended up getting involved in few." Viscili groaned and Ione rolled their eyes. Well that was not surprising.

The greed bun was left alone as Ione went to open the cafe up for the day. Barely fifteen minutes even passed by before Vadim was in the cafe and ordering several dishes from Ione who easily keyed them all into the register. He stared as Ione waved the large skeletal greed off with a soft "Don't drink too much in my cafe."

It always secretly amazed him to see how casual Ione could be around his bodyguards as they could be rather intimidating. Then again, the way he and his bodyguards had acted during their first visit had easily disillusioned Ione? Or perhaps it was because they are technically in Ione's territory and thus the glutton could be relaxed?

Ione always had food heating up in kitchen so it was no trouble to get Vadim's orders ready and set them in front of him with a quick "Don't inhale them all. Pace, you ridiculous greed doll" which drew out a hissed "I know, go away" from Vadim which amused Viscili.

The early hours were always his favorite time to visit the cafe because it was always so quiet and Ione could be quite a pleasant company especially if he came without his usual companions. The late hours were Varrik's favored because he always whisked the owner off. That and the fact Viscili could slip in during the closed hours was always a nice bonus.

Ione never minded when Viscili came by because it was welcome sight with his quiet and grumpy demeanor meant they would not deal with demands unlike other regulars and they could discuss coffee with the crystal greed should they be in experimental mood.
