good habits - holly and mercy

“I’m very sorry, Miss… ah, forgive me. Your name seems to have escaped me,” said Mercy, the bun in charge of the Bunnery, with a vague smile. Though the gentle, upward curve of their lips was subtle, there was a sort of vacancy in their eyes that made Holly smile back naturally before she could even think.

Nuns were proper worshippers, but they were still residents of Burrowgatory. Mercy’s rotten tendencies were apparent to someone like Holly, who was equally as rotten.

“Holly,” reminded Holly, watching the way that Mercy’s large bunny swayed as she bowed her head to acknowledge what Holly had said before she straightened her back again.

“Miss Holly, then,” Mercy seamlessly continued.

Mercy’s arms were at their side, fingers just barely above the fluffy ruffles underneath the nun habit they wore. As they breathed in and out with soft breaths, their cross earrings swayed with the rise and fall of their ribcage, and the lace of their headpiece fluttered behind them.

They were really a very pretty bun, Holly thought to herself. Dainty and fair, the epitome of pure devotion.

“So what’s the problem, again?” Holly asked, a smile ever-present on her lips. Her tongue dashed along her bottom lip, the taste of her warm cinnamon gloss tickling at her taste buds.

She smacked her lips.

Mercy proceeded smoothly, not bothered by the abrupt if not rude noise Holly had made.

“Ah, yes, that’s right—it’s not as if the fault is on you, Miss Holly. The way you dress… it’s not unusual for residents of Burrowgatory,” she said, and in doing so, she used her small hands to gesture to Holly, vaguely looking Holly up and down at the same time. “But it’s hardly appropriate for the Bunnery. What with the baby buns we tend to here.”

Holly didn’t think the way she dressed would be that much of a problem in any place around Burrowgatory, but it did make perfect sense now that Mercy mentioned why she couldn’t be wandering around the Bunnery in what she had on.

Though Holly’s sleeves were a long cut that reached even to her wrists, the fabric of her top was not very modest and made abundant the large size of her breasts. The cut was deep, giving way to her plentiful cleavage, her necklace stuffed between the valley there. Holly’s midriff, which donned a shiny, salacious green stud of a piercing on her belly button, was also fully on display, twinkling under the Bunnery’s warm lights.

Oof, not a good look, Holly thought, amused, her smile giving way to a grin.

Holly’s white skirt was impossibly short and perhaps the most revealing part of fit she’d set out in today, to say absolutely nothing of her stocking-and-garter combo, which squished all of her thigh fat in place to create a stimulating indentation in her skin.

After observation, Holly nodded, clicking her tongue again. Her long hair grazed the bare skin of her back as it swayed to-and-fro, stimulating her skin with goosebumps. “Ahh, yeah. Yeah, I totes understand. You don’t even need to apologize.”

Mercy gave a cute smile.

“You may still go through with the volunteer work, if you’d like, Miss Holly?” Mercy gently offered, bringing their hands up to clasp them together in a very stereotypically “nun” fashion, as if she were getting ready to pray. “We have spare habits around. And demons, I know we could use the help.”

It was a bit funny to Holly that Mercy still welcomed her with open arms, but she supposed that an open mind was necessary when you were a nun. She must’ve seen characters that were far more bombastic than Holly, anyway—Holly was one of the more tame buns around Burrowgatory, as funny as that was to admit to herself.

“Y’know what, sure! Thank you, Sister,” Holly said happily, making sure to use the right manner of address for the beaming nun in front of her. “Plus, habits are uber cute. You sure you have my size, though?”

Treating a nun’s holy habit as more of a fashion accessory than a show of faith was perhaps not the most considerate move, but Holly couldn’t say that she cared that much. Even Mercy didn’t seem to mind.

“Once more, thank you very much. And yes, of course. You needn’t worry about the matter of size. You’re very lovely,” Mercy said with a particular glint in her eye that made Holly smirk, laughing under her breath. She knew what sort of look that was.

Not my type, exactly, but hey, she’s still adorable. I’m flattered.

Mercy brought Holly further into the Bunnery, where other volunteers were tending to sweet little baby buns in colored blankets. Some smiled at her, some fumbled as they tried to make cute little babies stop their whines with milk.

Holly wouldn’t have usually bothered with a place like the Bunnery, but Imogen had cried to Holly, telling her, “Morgan and I tried to volunteer, but she ruined it all! Can you tell the Sister for me? Thank you, Holly. You’re such a good friend!”, completely unaware that Holly had her eyes on Imogen’s girlfriend.

Holly shook those thoughts away as soon as she put the habit on, tucked away in a storage room to change. It was a bit dusty here, but appropriate for a rustic place like the Bunnery.

The habit wasn’t as decorative as Mercy’s was; rather, it was more traditional and plain. A black headpiece with just a white piece of fabric to line the end, with a black dress that was even a bit large for her chubby body, making it look like a very appropriate nun’s dress.

It made sense. It wasn’t the time to be a sexy nun.

“Sister,” Holly called out as she departed from the storage room. The shoes were a bit tight on her, but she wouldn’t say that aloud. She wasn’t that picky, anyways. “Everything look okay?”

Mercy’s smile radiated.

“Yes, all is in place. Please follow me. There’s so many buns that need to be fed!”
