" Does the Emerald lose its beauty for lack of admiration?"

Erebus is a prideful kind of man, holding his head high despite his messy history. He's also rather passionate, he adores it, and he loves seeing it in others even more. To the point where he will be more supportive of another's dreams and desires than his own. He also has a flair for the dramatic, always over-exaggerating every movement or expression where he can, as artistically as he can, without regard to public image. Not that he would be ashamed, oh no, in fact he would be rather glad to be seen, since for all his trying, he has yet to land a date with anyone or anything. At least he has his small, yet loyal menagerie of dearly beloved imps to keep him company, along with the cranky old bat who runs the booksore he frequents. These days, he runs a cozy tailoring shop in a small, sleepy corner of town. He's well versed in all styles of dress, but unable to give up his love for the circus he left behind, his professional specialty lies in  circus costumes.

HISTORY

Years ago he was an acrobat of no small renown, entertaining the public of Burrowgatory for years and years, until one day he developed a hairline fracture in his right ankle. At first, it was nothing to worry about, something that some rest and a splint couldn't fix. However, the timing was unfortunate, since he and his troupe had three major back-to-back shows at the same time, all attended by some big names in Burrowgatory. Erebus' pride would not allow him to miss or postpone these shows, so he hid the injury and performed anyway, causing the fracture to deepen and deepen, until after the final show, it broke completely, the shattered bone tearing up the muscle around it. It wasn't until another troupe member found him collapsed and passed out backstage that anyone but him knew about the injury in the first place.  This event caused his troupe to disband, and none of its former members have forgiven him for it.
