Good Friends

The best kind of friends are those who are able to reconnect immediately upon reuniting.

It's been a long time since Emilia has seen Satin, but they're still able to hit it off just as easily as they had in the past.

They aren't talking about anything important, just catching up on what they've been doing with each other and learning about all the changes that've been going around the Burrowgatory in each others' circles.

Emilia's circle is significantly smaller than Satin's, so it's no surprise she was unaware of Silver returning to fight vampires, though she was aware of Oleander's sudden death followed by his mysterious resurrection. 

It's very interesting to hear Satin's perspective (and much more detailed knowledge) of the events, even if she plans to keep her feet firmly planted far away from all of that business, as she quite enjoys her blood staying in her body.

Emilia doesn't have anything particularly new in her life, aside from her recent active participation in the Imp training camp (with her newly adopted imp, Po), and her usual efforts in the Toy Fair.

Even so, Satin is ecstatic to find out that Emilia has been leaving her home more than she used to (knowing that her friend has always been rather reclusive), though she still wishes Emilia would search for a partner or several.... For the gossip and conversation starters (about dating and relationships), mostly.

After catching up, they exchange gifts to express gratitude to each other for continuing their relationship, even if they rarely meet, and promise to meet up sometime for drinks.

Emilia also promises to stop by Satin's office (more a matchmaking business, really) with congratulatory gifts (office... warming? gifts) and maybe some more details on the who's been seeing who and a bit of details about Velveteen's... thing with Peter that she'd conveniently gotten front row seats to see.
