[Gift] A Quick(?) visit to Heavenly Embassy for Carols

Casque's phone buzzed softly and he pulled it out of his pocket while setting his book aside so he could read the text he had just received. Apparently Dove wanted to inform him about the Heavy Embassy being fully decorated, and carols starting back up as they had sorely missed that tradition. Casque hummed softly as he read the lengthy message on his phone from Dove talking about Cherubmas.

"That's quite the catchy song, darling...." The Envy glanced up at the soft voice of his boyfriend and chuckled.

"A friend of mine had a small playlist on repeat for a while while I was visiting her the other night. It would appear they got stuck in my head" Casque explained as he shifted his comfortable position on the cushiony seat into a proper one to better pay attention to Wolfsbane and Thorne who seemed to have released some tension from his body. The Pride raised an eyebrow slightly and Casque elaborated further

"She's a Cherubun and she lives with Rosetti-Briar, another friend of mine. Dove, another Cherubun, just texted me about the celebrations going on up in Heavenly Embassy. Apparently it's Cherubmas, one of the important holidays for them. The Cherubuns are trying to introduce some of their traditions to us Succubuns since it's been a year since Dove fell down, and they never got to celebrate due to their temporary amnesia. Apparently there's a tradition of creating wreaths and decorating the streets as well as carolling....The song I was humming? It's one of the most popular songs for carols. Lessa likes the vibrations of it but Dove loves to sing." Casque continued "Dove has invited me to go up for a visit and check the celebrations out. Would you two like to come along? We will have to dress up more than we normally would as it is supposed to be colder at Heavenly Embassy but it will be an enjoyable trip. Dove will be participating in the carolling."

"....Colder?" Wolfsbane blinked as Casque moved over to sit next to the Greed "Are you sure?"

"Yes. Granted my last visits have been during warmer months but I did notice it being less hot compared to Burrowgatory. I wouldn't want you getting sick, or any of us for the matter...." Casque trailed off as Wolfsbane reached over to squeeze his hand with a small smile on his face.

"Breathe, darling. You are worrying far too much and that is sweet. Let's visit tomorrow after dinner, yes? Thorne will enjoy the celebrations as well" He glanced at the Pride who narrowed his eyes slightly before giving a small nod.

The next evening, the trio met up and headed off toward one of cars kept on property to be driven to the parking lot by the elevator between Burrowgatory and Heavenly Embassy; scarves, gloves, hat and coats ready at hand. When the trio had entered the elevator, and got appropriately dressed; Casque adjusted the scarf on Wolfsbane while Thorne kept his eyes squarely ahead at the doors.
"I'm still adjusting to the elevator ride" Casque murmured softly, amused by how unsettled his companions seemed to be as the elevator arrived at the Heavenly Embassy and they stepped out into the chilly cold so unlike Burrowgatory.

"OH! Casque! Oh my you even brought along friends~!" Casque glanced over with a small smile as a certain blue Cherubun bounced over with a bright smile.

"Hello Dove. This is actually my boyfriend, Wolfsbane and his butler, Thorne. I happened to be visiting him when I received your text, they seemed interested and I figured I'd bring them along." Casque spoke while gesturing to the other two, flushing slightly when he realized Wolfsbane had blushed crimson red to compliment his Hellfire. He cleared his throat in a failed attempt to compose himself and Dove giggled at the pair while Thorne just sighed softly.

"....Mr. Brandy mentioned carols and celebrations going on up here?" Thorne spoke up when it seemed like Master Wolfsbane would not be inquiring about anything; far too preoccupied with his blushing.

"That's correct! Come along I'll lead you through the village and you do not have to join in the carols." Dove smiled pleasantly as they turned and led the trio away, Thorne trailing behind Wolfsbane as per habit but upon gentle encouragement from the Greed, he kept pace with Dove as Casque reached to link hands with Wolfsbane with a small bashful smile.

"We usually use holy holly in our wreaths, that's those white leaves with gold berries you see in decorations around here but some Cherubuns have taken it upon themselves to incorporate other types of branches grown in Burrowgatory." Dove explained as they pointed out the white leaves and gold berries adorning the street lights and doors. They soon arrived at the park nearby where there was a gathering crowd and the Cherubun led them to the side of the crowd so they could observe in some peace as they joined the carolling group to warm up. Casque had a feeling Dove would be the shining star of the evening with their beautiful singing voice.

"You handle the cold okay, Thorne?" Casque inquired in concern when he noticed the taller Pride adjust his scarf.
"It is rather harsh however I am fine." His gruff voice responded and Casque sighed out an advice to tuck ears into the scarf to keep the glassy parts warm at least which he obliged with a quiet relieved sigh.

Then Dove began to sing a wonderful harmonious song in tune with the other carollers.

"Decorate the doors with wreaths of golden holly ♪
What a joyous season ♫
Dress up festively ♪"

Casque had to smile to himself when he heard Thorne humming quietly in sync as Dove's harmonized beautifully through the park; through the listening ears of the crowds. They sang the song of decorating for the season, dressing joyously in fun attire, of sharing in the community and enjoying the music. Casque could understand why it was perfect for the season as he could sense the celebrating spirit intertwined through the song. When the song ended and the Dove paused to catch their breath, Wolfsbane murmured softly to his companions "That song was beautiful" and both Casque as well as Thorne had to agree.

Then Dove started back up with their singing, this one more joyous than the previous. Seems to be full of blessings and enjoying the food of the season.

The Cherubun singing the song seems to be so at home like this, celebrating what they had always known and loved. Casque tugged the hood more snugly around his antlers as the singing continued. A quick glance to his companions revealed them watching intently. He had to smile to himself as Dove finished the song on an impressive high note. They took few deep breaths, a quick sip of water before starting back up.

"This one is my favorite" Casque murmured when he recognized the starting notes of the third song and that led to Wolfsbane paying more intent attention to the music being sung by Dove. This one about counting down the days to Cherubmas.

Casque had to chuckle at how the song incorporated the imps and items found around both Heavy Embassy as well as Burrowgatory. It seemed like quite the fun song and he quite enjoyed listening to it especially as Dove continue to sing while counting down and reciting what they would be given. That was why it was his favorite song to listen to.

The fourth song was laced with hints of sadness as Dove sang of home, of their upbringing, of how it was colder, frigid and how they kept warm with warm cup of hot chocolate. Nostalgia could be powerful and Dove leaned onto it heavy as they told tales of Heavenly Garden.

The fifth song turned far more upbeat by singing about family and friends especially found family the Cherubuns themselves had made after departing Heavenly Gardens. It sang of hope and Dove had high hopes that by sharing traditions there would be more connections shared between the saintly and sinful buns. Dove continued to sing songs that expressed their feelings, hopes and dreams going forward. How excited they were to share their customs with everyone.

Casque gently tugged Wolfsbane closer to his side, his arm around the Greed's waist with Thorne standing behind them as they enjoyed Dove singing. Even as the cold of Heavenly Embassy bit at their Succubun limbs and horns; they did not leave the park until they had listened their fill of the Cherubmas songs. It was quite worth it to go up for a visit and enjoy the Cherubmas carols
