Lottie was wondering if this commitment was worth the long-standing research. She would have stopped coming if she didn't have a feeling that she would never see her little potential flowers... plants... Oh, goodness did she know what she was planting? Primrose probably told her but like most things out of his mouth, she did not remember.

It was likely his attitude. Which still hasn't improved. Lottie has been spoiled by that one meeting with Dove. They were so sweet and kind. They will never forget it for the rest of her life. Just made her wonder why Primrose acted like this but that was a thought for another day. At least for now. Now she was wondering if Primrose had any friends or if he just spent his time terrorizing others into helping him in this place.

Speaking of which. She looked around the embassy. Where was he? This was her normal time to be tending to the plants right? Did she come early? No... she loathed having to come any earlier than she had to. She still had a draft to finish after all she couldn't take all her time being here even if she made a commitment.

Wonder how long that would take. Maybe she'd get kicked out before she finished her tasks. She doubted that. It seemed like Primrose kinda could stand her. At least in the small doses they were forced together. This was his place of work after all.

Business.... Either way he was here quiet often.

She wandered her way around the place before finally seeing him. She didn't even try to be quiet.

"PRIMROSE!"

She almost laughed seeing him jump and look back at her with a glare before his look soften. He gave out a sigh before he spoke.

"Lottie. There is no need for you to yell. I would have heard you if you simply greeted me normally,"

"Yeah but what fun is that and you weren't even around when I first came in," she said walking over closer to him.

"I thought you forgot about little old me," she was being a little dramatic, "Don't you know not to leave a lady waiting. It's not very virtuous of you."

Primrose rolled his eyes at her. Seemed like by now he was just clearly used to how she spoke to them. Lottie smiled at him. At least he wasn't as rude as he was before. She still had a ways to go before she broke through that shell but that was fine. She would get there.

"I don't need to hear that kind of thing from you," he said. He crossed his arms over his chest.

"Yeah well you did," Lottie carried on looking past him, "So...."

"So?" He raised an eyebrow.

"What are you up to," she asked, "What's got your attention so much that you didn't even come over to greet me."

"Nothing special. Your plants have started to sprout so you can do more work on your plants," he said.

Lottie was silent. That sounded like more work. That's right, she was doing work not just teasing Primrose and commiting to bothering him. Bothering him for research. He didn't know this was research.

Now she had to do more work. Did this work enhance the love in the moment? She didn't know but she didn't feel excited. Was she excited? She didn't feel it.

"You know... Mister Primrose," Lottie said as she twirled her hair with her finger.

He was silent as she continued to speak.

"Maybe you could do the more laborious part of the planting for me-"

"No," he said and went and handed her the gardening tools, "You planted it you need to see it through."

True but again does nurturing a plant to it maturity do anything for love. She wasn't falling in love here. Maybe it was because of Primrose's stuffy attitude. Maybe that's why she was having trouble and the only good thing so far was again meeting Dove.

She opened her mouth to argue it and then closed it. There was no point in doing that. He was probably going to make a good point and then where was she going to be at. Anyway, what was the point in burning her bridge that she had built so far with him anyway. She again went a little past him and crouched down at the plant bed he was standing in front of.

This was going to be so tedious, but she was going to get all dirty, and she hadn't accounted for that today. Her cute outfit ruined. She should stop wearing cute things. Why is she like this? This was unfair, she wanted to be cute and do work. She could feel Primrose watching her.

"Can I help you Mister Primrose," she asked looking at him for a moment as she rolled up her sleeves.

"No I was just wondering how long you were going to pout before you got to work," he said.

"You could help me, if you are so concerned about me ditching my work," she said smiling as she started inspecting the new sprouts with care.

"I am not concerned about that," he said, "You're too proud to do something like that."

She wasn't sure if that was an insult or not. He seemed like he was trying to compliment her. She looked back at him. Was it a compliment?

"Is that a compliment?" She asked excitedly.

She could see the regret in his face. He probably didn't expect her to pick up on that little thing but she did. She was a writer. She could read context. Sometimes, and this time she was right on the money.

"No, please focus on the work you are supposed to be doing," he said.

"Really? That's a shame... guess we aren't at the compliment territory yet," she said going back to what she was doing, "Maybe one day Primrose will give me a real nice compliment."

She gave a dramatic sigh as she watered the cute little buds.
