Sleepy Sipper to Mixing Master
Endri set his bag down on a barstool, his Rabebe, Bugger, popping his head out of the flap to watch curiously but not moving out of it. It was odd seeing The Rabbit Hole in the daytime, making it look almost like a totally different place. Endri didn't usually come to the infamous bar by himself but occasionally got hired to snuggle with people that had won the cash to buy his services in the attached casino, so he wasn't totally unfamiliar with the place.
In fact, he had seen the advertisement for the mixology class Hops had started running when he had been sleepily leaving a spontaneous booking from another lucky casino winner of the night. It had been on his mind as he thought of the nice little touch it would add to his services if he could provide refreshments at his cuddle parlor.
And now he was here, watching as Hops hustled through the back door. He smiled at the bartender. "Good Afternoon, Hops." He looked around to see if there was anyone else coming. "Am I the only person for this class or am I early?" Hops gave a long suffering sigh. "There were supposed to be two other buns that were supposed to come but they cancelled just a couple hours ago. Thankfully we have a 24 hour cancellation policy so I could still charge them, but yeah, you're the only one today." Endri gave a relieved sigh. "As annoying as that is, I'm kind of glad. I was expecting it to be way more packed, which is why I picked one of your weekday classes."
Hops grinned at that. "Well at least that makes me feel a little better. C'mon, then. Let's get started. First, let's discuss glass wares and the importances of the different types, and then we'll move onto actual mixing." Endri nodded and came around the bar counter as instructed, nodding along to Hops' schpeal and asking more questions.
When they finally got to the actual mixing, Endri found that it was far easier than he expected it to be. Hops watched with fascination. "You're really good at this. Have you done something like this before?"
Endri's face flushed but he gave a little shrug. "When I was still in university I worked at a cafe on campus. I guess my skills as a barista must translate somewhat. Though I have minimal knowledge about actual alcohol and their differences, I just drink what tastes sweet, a lot of my fellow baristas would use and teach me some bar tending techniques to make some specialty drinks. It was really fun. I actually like this whole mixology thing I think. Though I definitely prefer my job."
The bartender had a finger to her lips as she considered this. She wasn't in her uniform as she wasn't actively working the bar, instead in a comfy hoodie emblazoned with the bar's logo and slogan on the back. "Wanna try using my special ingredient? You might make something interesting. All the drinks you've made so far have been delicious." Hops' eyes were slightly unfocused and her face was flushed from the alcohol consumption.
Endri raised an eyebrow. "Sure, why not? Though after this drink I think we should stop for the day. I don't want to be responsible for you to getting in trouble for being drunk on the clock tonight." The intoxicated bunny giggled.
"Oh they won't know the difference. You should try have a little alcohol while you work too~ It would probably take the edge off when you're in the noisy casino seating giving your 'snuggles'~" Hops teased.
Endri rolled his eyes but still smiled. "Alright ya drunk, let's get cracking, huh? Where's the special ingredient, I have something I wanna try..."
Hops watched intently as Endri grabbed together the ingredients for... Was that? Yes it was! The alcholic laughed as she sputtered out, "You're making one of my signature drinks! How did you guess the ingredients?"
Endri pushed over a wide glass of Dracquiri for Hops to taste and winked flashing his own mutated fangs with a grin, "It's one of my favorites. As you might be able to tell. It wasn't hard to guess."
