Comfort Levels High
One of the many good things about sloth buns is the fact that those who are able will make sure that their homes are furnished with the most comfortable and relaxing items one can possibly find. While Matentines may be the time for any lustful bun to dig down into their vice, the following month when many get hit with a habitual feeling to nest themselves up nice and cozy is a win for sloth buns everywhere.
So when the yearly urge hit to simply buckle down and get as comfortable as possible, Celestine was more than happy to oblige. It's a crazy thing to wake up one morning and decide that your bed will now become the fortress from which you exist, but it wasn't necesarrily the worst thing that a bun could be afflicted with. If anything, the constant hormones that takes over Burrowgatory over the month of February seemed more obnoxious in the long run. Especially when baby buns get involved with it as well.
After Celestine made sure their two pets were fed, the work began.
Gemini and Venus cared very little as Celestine started to hoard as many pillows as could be found in their apartment. In fact, there was nothing safe or sacred in there that was safe from the absolute tyrade that Celestine was going on. Couch cusions, pet beds, bean bag chairs, all being thrown onto a queen sized bed that would hardly be able to hold everything there without spilling over and onto the floor. In fact, that was probably the biggest issue with what was happening here. But a bed can also include the floor, and so the bed turned into a pillow fort of sorts.
Mainly because next was the blankets.
As a bun who thrived on comfort, Celestine had quite a bit stored around their home for either them or guests. For the next few weeks, they would be MIA, finding a new home set alongside the pillows that had gotten removed earlier.
Venus, Celestine's Furdin, would be the first to notice their bed had vanished from it's normal spot. Even more so, the cushions were gone. This wasn't okay. The poor imp had the right to comfort as well. The next time Celestine would pass by, Venus would make it's displeasure known by bumping against their leg. And the attention was caught rather quick. Mainly because now, Venus was dragged into the mess of pillows and blankets to be left in a life of being swallowed alive by pillows and comfort.
If you, dear reader, believe that Gemini - a Stellaram - would be spared, you'd be sorely mistaken. The next in the line of fire was the soft pet. They moved a bit slower and more at-ease than Venus. There was no escaping the fate that beheld them. Capture was imminent, and soon enough Gemini was amongst the pile of things to be curled up with.
Next comes the sweaters and baggy clothes. These would be a must, as they could be used to layer up when it gets particularly cold and dreary.
Within an hour or so, the entire apartment had been stripped and moved into the bedroom where Celestine stood, proud of their work. Venus and Gemini were less than thrilled to have all of their own pet items moved to bed shared with their owner, but couldn't complain about being able to rest amongst the nice blankets that usually were off-limits.
Celestine would go for a few minutes before dragging in one of the electric heaters he had - damn you landlords and your inability to seal the windows shut in the coldest months - to turn on and keep the room moderately toasty. Then comes the food, which would be hoarded in a plastic bin. It seems they learned to keep the food sealed, lest one of their imps got their nose into something that could potentially harm them. This was a learned thing, and learned well Celestine had.
Not to mention, he simply wanted to make a warm meal to relax with before diving into the full comfort of the pillow pile. Another good amount of time would pass as he made a bowl of ramen before finally, finally he felt content to indulge in the fruits of their labor. A warm bowl, more blankets piled onto them than they knew what to do with...sloth bun heaven if you asked them.
A content sigh left them as they filled up on a warm, spicy ramen. Venus and Gemini seemed to relent to the nesting habit of their owner and found where their normal sleeping spot was usually located in, curled up and dozed off as Celestine finished up a hardy meal and intented to do much the same. Matentines may be over, but this was certainly their favorite time of the year by far.
