[GIFT] A Wonderful life

Demi and her family have maintained the shrine for many years, in order to keep belief in the kamisama alive. The people provide offerings and ask for blessings in return, hoping that the deity inside would hear their prayers. Demi's job was hard work, but it was very worth it in the end always.

All the little buns who visited the shrine loved hearing Demi tell stories about the deity. She was like a big sister to them all, and she loved it. She loved the company while she worked and cleaned, the joyful sounds of little buns. At first she was worried her appearance would startle the young buns, but despite her missing an eye, the little ones treated her just like anyone else. It was the highlight of her day whenever the little buns would visit her. She'd often make snacks for them to eat when they came by.

Sometimes her friend Anya would visit her, and the two of them would sit together under the shrine's tree, watching the clouds go by and talking about life. Anya would brag about her gambling luck or whatever books she was reading at the moment and Demi would talk about the little ones who came by or the occasional disrespectful jerk who would run tail between his legs after a divine beatdown from Demi.

Their friendship could be seen as a little strange to those who didn't know them well, but really, the two buns meshed very well together. Sure they had very different views on certain things, but thinking the same thing all the time would be boring. Sometimes Anya would help Demi clean up around the shrine if she had enough free time, which was both helpful and fun.

All in all, it was quite a nice life to be living. Demi couldn't think of anything better.
