Gus (formerly known as Augustus) says he left the Heavenly Meadows to fulfill his great destiny. No one knows what that means and Gus refuses to elaborate. Some succubuns are certain that he's lying because all he does is eat and laze around since his arrival.

Back in the Heavenly Meadows, he was one of the garden caretakers. So, Primrose gave him the task of caring for the ambrosia gardens in their new home. Though he does not like the work, Gus won't say anything so long as he reaps the benefits from the embassy. Plus, Ruth ends up doing all the tasks assigned to him when she drops by to volunteer.

He likes to amuse others with poetry and songs, but he would never make it a career; it's far too much work. It is best to take his words with a grain of salt because Gus is known to tell tall tales.

You can find him roaming around in Burrowgatory and the Heavenly Embassy, usually being good-for-nothing. His favourite spot is Yarmund's tavern where he can sing at his leisure. The casino is a likely place for him to be too due to his gambling addiction.

Overall, he is content and feeling quite blessed to "do-over" his life.
