Taking Pleasure in Aerial Silks

It was not a well known fact that Ballini enjoyed aerial silks. It was not shameful nor embarrassing past time but one she found herself guiltily indulging in. It was a way to keep herself flexible and she found aerial silks to be a from of dancing in a way. Wrapping oneself in silks and twisting through air was rather thrilling. She often stuck to the night time classes because it was always quiet and she far preferred to avoid crowds so Ballini could take her time as she pleased simply working with aerial silks wrapped around her nimble limbs.

When Ballini showed up for a class, she often donned a simple outfit of tight cotton leggings and a leotard over top that covered her shoulders. The color combinations usually varied from pastels, jewel tones, neutrals, and such depending on her mood. That day was black leggings with lilac leotard. They would offer best friction with the aerial silks and reduce risk of any accidents for Ballini especially with her glassy limbs. The leggings also included covering for part of her feet and a thick strap around the sole.

Her hair was up in high ponytail and her ears had been tied up in their signature updo with black ribbon. Ballini went to a corner to stretch out her limbs starting by reaching for her glassy toes and letting her lower back stretch out. She then twisted to side and holding onto her arms to stretch out. Her poses changed every few minutes until she had warmed up and her limbs had gotten stretched out. Ballini listened to the instructor giving out instructions regarding the rules before having them space out across the room. Ballini went for the one farthest from everyone as she preferred to have as few distractions as possible in aerial silks so she could get into the zone with the silks in her grip. Taking a deep breath, the greedy dancer took hold of the silks in both hands and pulled herself up as she climbed her way to a respectable height. The leggings with straps around her glassy soles was helping wonders with the grip. Once Ballini was several feet off the ground, she began to split and twist the silks around her limbs especially her legs before letting her fall few feet with grace. Then Ballini climbed a foot or two higher before twisting around her arms and letting her legs split the silks into a lovely split. The greedy doll was careful to prevent the silks from getting tangled in their glassy horns, and their tail swished out of way whenever there was a chance of silks snagging on them.

With each meticulous movement and carefully consideration for every single part of her body; Ballini continued to twist her way around the silky fabric suspended from the ceiling. it wasn't long before she could hear her name being called along with several others and Ballini made her way down to the ground with grace that only a ballerina could perfect. Ballini went to grab her bottle of water to gulp down as a break had been called for. Ballini rolled her sore shoulders and began to stretch them out to relieve the tension as she observed other students work with their silks. From time to time she would yell out tips to whoever was struggling at the moment. That always got her a grateful thank you in return and the instructor nodded in approval at her advice.

It wasn't long before the class was being wrapped up and everyone began to make their way home. Ballini was rather sated from her progress tonight and she looked forward to next time.
