Wandering Lovesick Mind

A soft melody filled the room, Romeo gently grasped Lumen's hand, leading them to the center of the room. Lumen's heart raced with a mixture of excitement and nervousness.

"Alright, Lumen, let's start with a simple waltz step." Romeo said, his voice soothing and encouraging. He guided Lumen's hand to his shoulder, placing his other hand gently on their waist. They stood close, their bodies almost touching, and the sensation sent shivers down Lumen's spine.

Lumen's heart fluttered at the proximity, their thoughts buzzing like bees in a garden of blooming roses. As the dance began, Romeo guided Lumen through the steps, their bodies swaying gracefully to the rhythm. Lumen tried to focus on the footwork, but with each gentle movement, their thoughts became increasingly fuzzy. The closeness to Romeo, the warmth of his touch, and the intimate atmosphere overwhelmed Lumen's senses.

Lumen's mind wandered, their heart fluttering with emotions they couldn't quite put into words. They couldn't help but see Romeo in a different light. The way his eyes sparkled under the soft light, the way his smile seemed to melt away any worries—it all became magnified in Lumen's mind.

"You're doing great," Romeo whispered softly. "But keep your head up, and look at me."

Lumen did as they were told, and their eyes locked with Romeo's.

The music slowly faded, the last notes echoing in the air. The two stopped dancing, still gazing at each other. Lumen could feel their heart beating erratically, their breath catching in their throat. The world seemed to disappear around them, and it was only the two of them.

The occultist snap back out of that daydream haze and nodded "Yes, I am."

"Good, this part of the dance is a bit more complex." he said, his grip tightening slightly on Lumen's waist. He led them through a series of spins and turns, their bodies moving in perfect synchronization.

Lumen could feel their heartbeat quickening, their breath becoming shallower. The music faded away once again, but the two of them continued to dance, lost in the moment.

Suddenly, Romeo decided to add a dip to the routine. With a swift motion, he lowered Lumen backward, their body arching gracefully. But just as Lumen's world tilted, overwhelmed by a rush of emotions, their consciousness slipped away.

Dear god, Lumen fainted just like that? The ghosts that circle the occultist just stare at the sad display and back at eachother.

Romeo quickly caught Lumen, his eyes widening in surprise. He held them securely, concern etching his features. "Lumen, are you alright?"

It fell to deaf ears, Lumen still out cold with heat beaming off their cheeks.

"Ah, shit. I think I went overboard with the dip-." he chuckled, brushing a few strands of hair out of their face.

Lumen stirred, their eyes fluttering open. They were greeted by Romeo's concerned face hovering over them.

"Oh, thank god you're okay," he sighed in relief, helping Lumen sit up.

Lumen tenses up then their head fell back — oh they fainted.

Again.

The ghosts around Lumen just stared, feeling a mix of pity and amusement.

"I think that's enough practice for today…" Romeo said, his voice laced with concern.
