Spice Trials

Lumen's heart raced with a mix of excitement and a hint of nervousness as they stepped into the marketplace of Burrowgatory. The place was alive, with activity filled with succubuns indulging in their passion; food. The scents of treats floated in the air tempting Lumens senses. This was the setting for them to impress their friend, Romeo with a culinary feat.

Spotting Romeo at a food stall his eyes shining with anticipation as he devoured a dish — Lumen was determined to prove themselves as an adept who could conquer any challenge, even the scorching flames of hell. With confidence, they approached the stall.

"Romeo! You've got to see this!" exclaimed Lumen eagerly their voice brimming with enthusiasm. They ordered the item on the menu – "Infernos Fury" a named creation. The stall owner's eyes widened in surprise. Lumen remained resolute.

As the plate arrived before them Lumen felt their palms grow slightly clammy. Taking hold of a fork that trembled slightly in their grasp they took a deep breath and braced themselves. With determination, they plunged the fork into the depths of the dish. The first bite ignited their taste buds and unleashed waves of heat throughout their mouth.

Lumen's eyes grew wide, with terror as their excessive ambition began to overwhelm them. Beads of sweat glistened on their forehead and tears welled up in their eyes. Every mouthful became a contest, a fight against the scorching heat that seemed poised to engulf them. Nevertheless, they persevered, resolute, in their determination not to disappoint their friend.

With each painful bite and every gulp of water to douse the flames, Lumen persevered. Their face turned scarlet, their nose ran uncontrollably, and their tongue felt as though it had been set ablaze. But through it all, they wore a determined smile.

Finally, Lumen conquered the last morsel of the Inferno's Fury. They leaned back, panting and victorious. Romeo applauded, a mixture of awe and amusement in his eyes.

Lumen tries to hold in a burp just for an uproar of fire to burst out alongside the belch. It hurts more coming back up than going in. They sighed contentedly. Despite the pain, they were proud of themselves. The pain will bite them in the ass later or well closer to now. However, they will just ride off the high of admiration before it comes crashing down.
