personality: quiet, not easily flustered — like a placid surface of an afternoon pond, undisturbed and peaceful, but they never forget.
likes: delicately sweet pastries, being surrounded by nature, enjoys oil painting.
dislikes: the bustling city, loud noises, the sight of butterfly wings.

character notes:
•  used to perform as a "mermaid" at the water shows at the luxury casino, the mirage.
•  very specific vibe: the shot in atonement when james mcavoy's character very gently brushes his hand along the surface of the water in the fountain.
•  thistle has two other mermaid-like littermates that they used to be quite close with, but was estranged due to their circumstances in life, but they are the "middle" child.

relationships:
•  mcqueen — the art and the artist.  once upon a dream, mcqueen was thistle's entire world and could not even fathom breathing without mcqueen's permission.  now, they breathe freely and the world doesn't crumble underneath their feet.
•  jack — the fisherman and his siren wife.  he was their ticket to a second life that they willing seized by the reins and never looked back.  for that, thistle will always be grateful, but could not return jack's affections and left him behind on a lonely dock.
