Originally an assistant to a lawyer who took bribes as easily as he took breaths, Lee Chi one day was no longer able to stomach profiting at the expense of the less fortunate and left that life behind.

Searching for solace, Lee banished herself to the wilderness outside Burrowgatory, hoping to reconnect with who she used to be, or else find a new facet of herself that she could use to create a new life, one she could be proud of.

Stumbling upon Ryobu in what she has only ever referred to as a "miracle of fate", Lee eagerly absorbed all the knowledge he was willing to give. Spreadsheets replaced by shuriken and wealth with a wakizashi, Lee Chi remade herself into the bun she is now, one who is strong enough to choose what she wants to protect, and how.
