Merry is, ironically, not a particularly merry bun. Snarky and short-tempered, she rarely shows her soft side and even then usually throws up from the pure disgust of being nice to someone else afterwards, often spending her time with those that can handle her at her worst and give her a challenge at handling their worst. Her favourite activities include baking sweet treats, practicing various circus acts, and brawling with her buddies.

Despite typically being about as soft and welcoming as a cactus covered in knives, Merry is far more approachable when she's in her sad jester get-up, having developed a bit of an alter ego while working at Laughtrack, a horror-themed fairground. Since she gets ready at home and typically doesn't bother dressing down until the end of the day, it's rare to see her doll form without the uniform and makeup on, as she prefers spending days off work lounging around in bun form.

Merry is highly protective over those she considers friends. Just because she gets to insult them as much as she wants doesn't mean others get to do so much as make them slightly uncomfortable, especially if it's the rare couple friends she has that are actually sensitive sweethearts that even she wouldn't dare make cry herself. This includes Mirth, her pet jestie that she got practically the moment she entered burrowgatory. Anyone who dares to try hurting her little buddy gets their face strongly introduced to the closest hard surface.
