BUN-1486: Graves
ASHES TO ASHES, DUST TO DUST.
name: graves
otherwise known as: mr. graves (by most), dion immanuel ephraim graves (his ridiculous full name which is reserved for when if he's in trouble), dion and every pet name in existence (by death).
bonus: his full name is dion immanuel ephraim graves — otherwise known as die graves.
pronouns: he/him
occupation: gravekeeper
death (contextually and physically) and graves have been intimately connected for some time now. graves doesn't mind the work — he likes the monotony of it and death, as much as he hates to admit it, truly does fascinate him. after all, so little has been recorded and witnessed among the population. in some ways, one might consider graves a pioneer of six feet under.
personality: apathetic, prefers dirt to most people, has a tendency to be blunt and sarcastic but is overall well-meaning and honest once you get to know him, a bit of a workaholic.
hobbies: antique restoration, binging competition shows on the couch, staying in good shape.
likes: sweets though he'd never admit it (dark chocolate with sea salt is his favorite), the macabre, being terrible at the pianoforte.
dislikes: being forced to interact with society, a lack of appreciation for life, slasher flicks (he loves a great psychological horror though!)
current concern: his favorite contestant on the great burrowgatory bake-off might get eliminated next round...
relationships.
1. death in the afternoon — the relationship between the reaper and the keeper is a story that has been told time and time again throughout the years that it's become rather difficult to contexualize their dynamic in a matter of words. death incarnate and the metaphorical wolf vs. the keeper of equilibrium and balance between life and death. it doesn't help that death is quite infatuated with graves, of course. sometimes rivals, sometimes friends, sometimes lovers at graves' weakest moments, most of the time enemies. long story short? it's complicated! read: soulmates but graves would never admit it.
playlist.
1. lacrimosa by wolfgang amadeus mozart — instrumental.
2. easy way out by low roar — i wanna feel something again memorable.
3. sinners by barns courtney — fortune, fortune, smiling fate, i haven't seen you much of late.
