Fresh, White, Powdery, and Ever so Cold! Those were Briar’s first impressions of the substance coating the ground, as it twinkled in the dim midday light. Gazing skyward, the strange white particles fluttered down, leaving tiny water droplets where they fell upon his warm cheeks. He'd never seen snow before but was so curious about it. Briar decided to make an adventure about it. He asked Klawd to meet with him so they can adventure together into the unknown. Klawd looked like he didn't really want to be there, and it's probably accurate, but he's sure he can get him to loosen up and have fun.
Briar took his first real steps into the snow, stepping off of his steps to his home, he heard the crunch under his boots, he couldn't describe the sound quite right, but the feeling traveled up his foot and it was so interesting. Taking a few more crunchy steps into deeper parts he kicked it up a little. The light fluffy snow looked like he just kicked up a pile of glitter. Briar gave a small gasp as the beautiful rainbows and sparkles danced in the air in front of him. He kicked some up again and again, making him surrounded by the beautiful sparkles.
Without warning he was hit upside the head. It didn't hurt per se, but he was blindsided! The snow was cold against the side of his head, melting into a trail of water down, small clumps of snow stuck to his hair and jacket. He turned violently toward Klawd, a blank expression on his face as he pretended he didn't know what happened. This was war!
Briar picked up a clump of snow, packing it as tight as he could before hurling it to his partner. Klawd dodged slightly, it hit his shoulder rather than his open chest that Briar was aiming for. He saw this snowball coming though, as it left Klawd’s hand almost instantly after Briar threw his snowball. He didn't even see him make that one!
Briar knew how to win though. He made another missile, packing it ready for another attack. He felt another snowball hit his side as he was hunched over. Klawd isn't going to know what hit him! Briar stood up straight and looked at Klawd and smirked. He launched the ball at him, as he was flinching trying to avoid the snowball Briar ran and jumped onto him, wrapping his arms around Klawds waist as he pulled him to the ground. He could feel Klawd’s weight shift and fall backwards. Briar landed on top of him in a triumphant pose, proud of himself to have won the fight. Klawd rolled his eyes and pushed Briar off, embarrassingly easy. Laying next to each other in the cold snow he felt Klawd moving slightly beside him. Looking up to him he saw him moving his arms and legs back and forth in a sweeping motion. The snow moved with his limbs, Briar wanted to join and repeated the motions that Klawd was doing.
Klawd suddenly stood up and extended a hand to him, helping him stand. Briar looked down at their spots and noticed that the outlines they had made looked very similar to snowdevils, tails and wings imprinted clearly into the figures. Briar absolutely loved it. The snow was beautiful and amazing, but he was cold and ready for hot cocoa.
