Mochi Moon
Posted 2 weeks and 1 day ago :: Last edited 2 weeks and 1 day ago by LucaIt's time to ring in the new year!
Mochi Moon
Every new year, succubuns celebrate the holiday of Mochi Moon by feasting, partying, and drinking until they pass out. It's traditional to leave out high-quality mochi as an offering to the demon Allocer in the hopes of being blessed with a vision of the moon, which is said to bring good luck for the coming year.
To learn more about Mochi Moon, you can read the past Year of the Bun Plot.
Check out the Mochi Moon event page for more information on this event, and to learn how to collect sparklers.
New Year, New Friends
From January 1st through January 7th, you can visit the New Year, New Friends page to trade in unused Handbasket items for your choice of any imp. This includes retired pedigree imps, as well as limited event imps such as rabebe and ryudra!
New Year, New Friends
New Event Imp
The first few sightings of an imp that resembled a sceil, but with a body wider than its head, were written off as an urban legend... But it turns out that tsuchi is real! This plump little imp can be purchased in the Mochi Moon event shop. In addition to its standard form, tsuchi can be found in pink, yellow, brown, festival, and lunar variants.
New Pet Colors
Glittery Mochi and Gold-Dusted Mochi are back in stock at Dan's Dango, only for the month of January. They can also be purchased with sparklers in the Mochi Moon event shop.
Wulven and jellsi are now available in the lunar and festival colors.
Additionally, rabebe can now be found in a natural variant, and ryudra can be found in a white variant.
New NPC Themes
Velveteen has finally relented to allow Peter to sew a plush of them, on the condition that he makes one of himself to match.
The Velveteen Plush and Peter Plush are now available at Cottontail Toys. Keep them in your collection, or open them from your Inventory to unlock the new NPC themes!
New Event Titles
For those who've been blessed by Allocer or hope to have dreams of the moon, the Mochi Moon event shop has two new titles: Moongazer and Dreamer.
Pedigree Imp
Starwinkle can now be purchased at Pedigree Pets! Marroth has been cycled out—so long, marroth.
While we work on getting an on-site subscription service up and running, pedigree imp polls are available to all players. Vote for February's pedigree imps here!
Blue Moon Raffle
Congratulations to @Roroko on winning December's Gilded Mistletoe Raffle!
This month's raffle bun is a moonlit beauty.
Tickets can be purchased with sparklers in the Mochi Moon event shop. Make sure to open the tickets in your inventory after purchasing, or you won't actually be entered in the raffle!
Monthly Prompt
The January Monthly Prompt is now available.
Try to dominate the snowball battlefield for 30 bonus carats!
Handbasket Price Increase
As discussed in a previous news post, in order to maintain the value of MYO items in the face of carat inflation, the price of the Hell in a Handbasket item has been updated to 500 carats, and the price of the Envious Handbook item has been updates to 200 carats. While we're sure some players will be unhappy with this change, we hope you can understand the need to keep MYO items from being devalued and creating increasingly more work for those approving designs.
The prices for the Newbie Hell in a Handbasket, Hell in a Handbasket (Favor), and Hell in a Handbasket (USD) have not been changed. Favor handbaskets have been refreshed, allowing you to buy 2 for the year for 300 favor each! Additionally, our seasonal Winter MYO Sale will be held January 18th-19th, during which time handbaskets will be sold for $30 USD.
Cherubmas
We hope you had fun getting a taste of cherubun culture in this cozy new winter holiday!
The Cherubmas event shop will remain open until January 7th, at which point all remaining feathers will disappear.
