Design Guide - Bun Fur

Buns have soft, short fur covering their entire bodies. This fur can naturally grow with a wild variety of colors and patterns.

Fur Length

In order to convey the fluffiness of their short fur, succubuns can be drawn with a small amount of fluffy texture on their foreheads, chests, or the insides of their ears

In order to have longer fur on any other part of the body, the Angora Fur trait will be required. Angora Fur can be applied to the whole body, or just specific parts, and can have a variety of different textures.

Head Fur

As mentioned above, buns can have a small amount of longer fur on their foreheads. However, they cannot have a full head of hair or a human hairstyle.

When creating a design with a tuft of fur on the head, please make sure that the tuft is small, and looks like fur, rather than hair. That means it does not have a defined hairline, does not frame the face, does not extend to the top or sides of the head, and has a texture and length that blends well with the rest of the fur.

Using the Angora Fur trait may give you more leeway about using longer fur on the head. However, please make sure that it still blends well with the fur in the rest of the coat; you cannot use Angora Fur to create the appearance of a hairstyle.

Facial Hair

Succubuns can't have "facial hair" in bun form—their entire faces are already covered in fur! They can have markings on their faces that resembles facial hair, but they cannot have an actual mustache, beard, or sideburns.

With the Angora Fur trait, the fur around a bun's mouth or chin can be made longer to resemble facial hair. However, it should still be of a similar length and texture to the rest of their coat.

Markings

There are almost no limitations to the kinds of colors, patterns, and markings a succubun can have. However, markings cannot be mistaken for any existing traits, or any of the nonexistent trait examples outlined on the Restrictions and Traits page.

Any markings or tattoos present on the doll form must also be present on the bun form. If a succubun gets a new tattoo in their doll form, that design will automatically appear on the fur of their bun form as well.

Buns cannot have fur that is the same color as their skin in doll form. Please refrain from creating succubuns that have both pale peachy fur in bun form and pale peachy skin in doll form, or medium brown fur in bun form and medium brown skin in doll form, etc, as it may make them look hairless in bun form.
