Mixology 101

Miyeon had a problem. Or, well, problems. They came in different shapes and colors: Some of her problems were tall, dark, and handsome. Some were short, light, and sweet. Some were stocky. Some were lean. Some looked like they were as built as an 18-wheeler. Some looked like they'd never lifted anything heavier than a cocktail glass.

Alas, all these problems combined ended with her in quite the tricky situation! Night after night, drink after drink at The Rabbit Hole, date after date. She found that not only had she accumulated quite the tab, she was also close to being banned from the bar!

It was simply not fair! It's not her fault that in order to get the attention of some of the buns around, she bought them expensive drinks! She was anything but a cheapskate! Only the best for the bun that could one day become the love of her life!

It's also certainly not her fault that in her clumsiness, she kept spilling many drinks, on many different laps. That was sincerely not on purpose (most of the time, at least).

She sighs from her spot behind the bar. She had whined and begged to not be banned, and thankfully, the manager came to a compromise. If she helped Hops around, she wouldn't be banned! Though she still had to pay her significant tab before being welcomed as a customer again.

At least Hops was nice. And pretty. So pretty.

"Pay attention, Miyeon!" Hops called, snapping her fingers in front of Miyeon's face.

Her attention is brought back to the frowny bun staring up at her. Hops was really too pretty, with her sweet pink eyes and short white hair. The accessories on her horns clinking almost in sync with her heels.

"Honestly, it's almost like you want to share my fate of working here to pay your debt," Hops huffs. "Now, you've fucked up all your previous tries with the Dracquiri–"

"It’s not my fault the strawberries were sour!"

"–you managed to somehow ruin my Smooch Hooch–"

"Also not my fault! Table five needed the liquor glasses for their game!"

"They broke all the liquor glasses, Miyeon!" Hops stomps.

"...will that add to my tab?" 

"Yes."

Miyeon groans, slumping over the countertop. She's too tall for it to be comfortable, and it's made worse by the heels of her uniform, but she doesn't care at that very moment to how dumb she may look.

Seeing her distress, Hops sighs. Her shoulders slump and she looks around the bar. At the very least, it's still early in the night, so they're not swarmed in customers.

"Here, how about we try something more simple?" She offers, gently, almost too low to be heard over the music.

Miyeon's eyes turn hopeful, and she makes an inquisitive noise.

"We'll try a Drabsinthe. It's just absinthe and sugar, you can't possibly ruin that."

…she most definitely can.

…and she most definitely does. Multiple times.

By the end of the night, she still hasn't paid off her debt. Worse even, the manager sent her home, with very serious threats that it she stepped foot in their establishment without paying her dues, she'd be kindly escorted out.

At least Hops took pity on her though, and sent her home with some of her recipes.

She had little hope to learn them, but maybe, if she was nice enough, Kohara would help her pay her debt…? She could only hope.
