Alcohol Time
A swirl of pink booze in a glass. Arms are stretched out as the sparkling wine is splashed from one container to another. A click. Not a drop spilled.
Hops gives a small clap from where she stands next to Normal. He grins down at her before he goes back to fixing the cocktail for her to taste.
"You've done this before, haven't you? Hardly seems like you need lessons." Hops plucked an olive from a jar nearby, popping it into her mouth to chew on idly. Normal hummed and went to grab some more syrups and juices from behind his mini bar.
"I used to bar-tend before I got into my current business." Is admitted. It wasn't something he talked about often- but Hops seemed alright. During the whole Hazebloom thing, she had proved herself to be full of fire with a good heart. If maybe a bit of a ditz. But she seemed harmless, so Normal didn't mind indulging.
"So, why'd you sign up for lessons, then?"
Normal shrugged his shoulders. But his eyes shot to the side, a small flush on his cheeks.
Hops squinted up at him from her seat, grabbing another olive. She chewed thoughtfully before giving a small gasp.
"You're trying to impress someone!"
"Am not!" Answered a bit too quick, Normal's whole face turned bright red. He huffed at the denial, upset that he had been read for absolute filth.
"Are too!" Hops hopped up, rounding the minibar in a few quick steps to bully Normal out of the way. She was grabbing at alcohol and cups to place on the counter. "Spill!"
Normal grumbled and rolled his eyes. He batted at the drink he had just made, knocking if off balance- but it didn't topple over. Only a few splashes of the drink hit the bar. Hops squawked and slapped at his hands.
"The details, the details! Don't be cheeky!"
Normal stared down at her, trying to give Hops the same look he gave to people who were up shit's creek if they didn't give him his money on time....
But Hops just stared back with an equal force on her cute little face, a pout on her lips.
Silence stretched as they had their staring contest.
".... alright."
"Yes!" Hops grinned and gave a little cheer, leaning on the bar and smirking. "So?"
"Well... I've found a bun I am... fond of." Normal glanced away from her, lifting a hand to rub the back of his head. It ended with his fingers at his ears, twirling a piece of fur between them.
"But I don't think he's interested in me. I was hoping you could teach me some drink that would impress him. None of the ones I know seem to."
"Oh." Hops frowned now, this time staring a hole into the counter as she thought. She shook her head, then looked back up at the other.
"Well... I don't really have a special trick and you seem to know all the drinks. How about I share a little something with you? Spice up your next drink! Maybe he'll like that?"
Normal already knows how to mix drinks, but a refresher has him having a small heart to heart with Hops.
