Mixing it up with Hops
Su-Jin wasn't one for hard work, but when it came to something that interested him, he could push through it... and mixing the delicious drinks Hops so graciously offered to teach him about definitely interested him. The Rabbit Hole wasn't open yet, so there were no customers to serve, and thankfully, that meant no pressure was on Su-Jin's shoulders to get things right the first time, lest a patron get angry at him. Hops was fun enough to learn with, that much was certain. Her lively personality, combined with her friendly nature, made it easy for Su-Jin's normal shyness to melt away. He gave a small smile as Hops showed him how to make a Peach Hellini. She took a peach, peeling the fuzzy skin off, then cut it into eight pieces. She rubbed the inside of the wine glass down with a piece of it to smear and coat the inside of the glass with the juices, then put another slice inside with the first. She then added a bit of her secret ingredient into the glass, and as she poured the wine over it, it fizzed and bubbled slightly, creating almost a foam over the top of the drink. Su-Jin then had the task of repeating what she did, and he nibbled his plump lower lip, chewing back a wave of anxiety as he peeled and cut a peach, sprinkled a bit of her secret ingredient in, and then poured the wine over it. Hops chirped a, "Good job! Now for the taste testing." The pair of them sipped from each other's drinks, comparing and contrasting, and Su-Jin said hesitantly, "I think I forgot the step of rubbing the peach over the inside of the glass..." Hops nodded vigorously, saying, "Yeah, not quite as peachy as it should be, but that's okay. At least you know where you went wrong! Mistakes are A-okay, so long as you learn from them!" Su-Jin smiled more brightly at the cheerful bun, and he looked down to the drink Hops had made. "Thank you for showing me how to make this drink," He said in his quiet tone. There was no way he would ever be able to be heard over the usual hustle and bustle of the average crowd that gathered in The Rabbit Hole with how softly he spoke. Hops simply grinned at him in an almost impish manner, and his gratitude quickly turned to concern. He understood her amusement when he felt wings sprout from his back, all thanks to her perfect Peach Hellini. "Now, twenty carats and I'll show you how to make a Drabsinthe to get rid of those new wings!" Despite the situation, Su-Jin laughed... then forked over the carats.
