Galaeth jotted down something in his notebook he had brought along with him while waiting for Beanny to bring him his coffee he had ordered. Apparently the owner of Paradise Cafe had been experimenting with flavours from where the Cherubuns came from originally and had suggested that Galaeth try one of the flavoured options. He had agreed out of sheer curiosity.

The Sloth was a bit early after all, wanting some time to write down his thoughts from his past five weeks at the Garden of Virtues. It truly had been enlightening and Galaeth had to wonder whether or not there were any Cherubuns interested in literature whether it be reading or writing. Surely there were? The purple Sloth thanked Beany when the coffee had been set down in front of him in a to-go cup. He continued to scribble in his notebook while sipping his coffee until a shadow settled over him and someone slid into the seat across the table from him. Upon glancing up, Galaeth met Lessa's small smile.

"How's the coffee?" Her hands moved to ask the question and upon receiving his thumb up, beamed.

"I've been enjoying the new selection of teas. They're delicious. Are you ready to help us make ambrosias?" At his nod, she continued.

"I DO have to warn you though I'm sure you already know, just like alcohol is toxic to Cherubuns, ambrosias are toxic to Succubuns so please do not try to taste okay?" She raised an eyebrow at Galaeth who processed this then flicked a finger upwards by his head; signing his understanding.

"Great. Let's go, we have a lot to do and this is probably my favorite part." Lessa seemed to be rather in high spirits which for some reason warmed Galaeth's chest as they walked off to Garden of Virtues; coffee and tea in their hands and armed for the day ahead of them.

Primrose was in the middle of the garden as always, calling out orders and organizing the Cherubuns as well as Succubuns as Lessa led Galaeth past Primrose without any word or acknowledgement and toward the table full of flowers.

"Primrose and I are on the same page regarding how we like everything to be done in this phrase: Separate the type of flowers into their own pile as they all have different benefits, the flowers themselves separated into parts; roots, leaves, stem, and flowers. Boil sap out of stems, dry leaves to be pulverized into powder, petals mashed into pulp, and roots boiled into paste. I'll explain more at each phrase. For now, grouping time" Lessa seemed to be rather chatty. This really was her favorite part. Galaeth appreciated the explanation as he settled down at the counter to start separating the flowers into their own piles.

There were several types of flowers with few being quite similar so it forced Galaeth to pay close attention as he separated the flowers into their own pile ready for further processing. It didn't take Galaeth long to figure out differences between flowers that looked alike and the pair made quick progress through sorting the flowers. Then they both moved onto another counter to start separating the flowers into parts.

Galaeth quietly observed how Lessa carefully cut the roots off the plants and tossed them into a basket, how she delicately plucked the leaves away from the stem and cut the flower head off. They all went into their respective baskets and it was easy for Galaeth to fall into rhythm with separating the flowers into parts and disposing into the respective baskets. Occasionally they would sip their hot drinks as they worked. Once their task at separating the flower into parts was finished, they moved over to where few other Cherubuns were putting leaves into a dehydrator and pulverizing the dried leaves into powder.

"We usually brew those with water similar to matcha to draw its full quality out." Lessa explained as the others busied themselves. One of them spotted the pair and gestured them over to help with setting leaves up in the dehydrator.

Once the baskets had been emptied they went to help pulverize the leaves by using mortar and pestle. Soon, they were being shooed away toward other areas.

Galaeth helped dispose of the roots into the large boiling pot and noted how another pot was looking full of paste. He was curious but got herded off toward the area to drop off the stems to get its sap boiled out as Lessa explained that both paste and the sap were a big part of making ambrosia but the Cherubuns in charge were far too busy for explanation. She did seem apologetic. Finally Galaeth was allowed to settle down at another counter with a pestle and mortar in front of him, and a basket of petals nearby. He set a few heads into the mortar and began to mash into paste as Lessa worked alongside him in blissful silence.

It was so lovely to have a fellow quiet doll around, he didn't have to worry about  communication and Lessa seemed so sweet.

They worked in silence until the petals were all gone and they set aside the pulp for others to handle as Lessa led him over to Primrose who was finishing up with a vial of ambrosia. He glared when he noticed them nearby but let it be. Seems he was feeling prickly and Lessa seemed uncomfortable so she half hid behind him as Primrose finished up.

"This is the finished ambrosia. No you may not touch but I will hand it to her so she can hold up for a closer look." Primrose spoke as he handed the finished ambrosia in a lovely curved vial over to Lessa who blinked before understanding upon his pointed look in the direction of the purple Sloth.

The feathered Cherubun held it up for Galaeth to take a closer look and he seemed so mesmerized.

"Fascinating. Thank you for guiding me along the way and for being patient, Lessa."

"I should be thanking you! I rarely meet someone who can sign so it's been lovely" Lessa smiled sweetly as she returned the ambrosia back to Primrose.
