Mixology 101 (Ezra)
Ezra walked through the streets of town, giving a quiet yawn. It was already rather late and he was bored. He had already finished everything on his list today. Grocery shopping, bought parts for his computer shop, and helped customers with their computer bugs and breaks. There was nothing else pressing he had to do, so his eyes began wandering about the shops around him. Was there anything interesting he could possibly occupy his mind with before he had to go bed….? His eyes slowly landed on The Rabbit Hole. Hops was a nice way to pass the time. They always chatted with him without a care when she wasn’t too busy.
The first problem Ezra would notice is it was abnormally packed. So many people seemed to have the same idea as him. Buns were lined up along the countertop and Hops looked rather frustrated. Her brows were furrowed and her eyes wandered along the bartop. She only had two hands and there were so many patrons waiting for their drinks and they all wanted to talk to her and order. Her pink eyes trailed along the crowd before seeing Ezra. “Ezra!” Her name called out to him specifically, making his dark blue eyes widen. He swallowed hard, maybe this wasn’t a good idea to come when it was so busy. She raised her hand up and made a motion for him to come behind the bar. “Hops..- Ah?” Her hands went around his neck and a soft ‘click’ could be heard. He raised his hands up to his neck to investigate, realizing rather quickly he was wearing a little bow collar like hers and she gave a smirk “Thank you for showing up, now I can have help.”
His lips parted to argue about it but then paused, weighing his options and looking at her pleading look smothered by her forced smile. “Fine.” He growled out quietly and rolled his eyes. She bounced up and down for a second before setting down four glasses in a row. “Alright. First thing..Four Bourbuns.” She set down the alcohol and liqueurs in a row, and a metal container. “Pour about…8 shots of everything into that metal container, okay? We’re making four drinks and they get 2 shots of liquor for each glass.” Ezra tried to take in what she was saying, nodding with a furrowed brow. He began pouring the alcohol into the metal container, taking the small shot glass on the counter for measurement, because he was in no means good at this job like Hops was. He watched as Hops walked over to make more drinks while leaving him to his own devices. He sighed quietly, taking the scoop for ice and shaking up the alcohol, making sure it was chilled before pouring them into the glasses splayed out in front of him. He poured the lighter colored purple liquid on top, amazed to see that he had actually done the Bourbuns right. Hops glanced over at him and grinned “Alright, Ezra! Call it.” He looked around in surprise. “F-Four Bourbuns ready to go!” He called out, setting the glasses on the counter as the buns happily came up to grab the glasses. The rest of his night would end up like this, helping Hops clear out customers until it was manageable again.
