Dear Melangel,

I hope this letter finds you well in the Heavenly Meadow. I know it's been a while and that our separation hasn't been quite to your satisfaction, but even so, I'd love to share with you the new things I've been experiencing each day.

Burrowgatory has proved to be an intriguing and lively place, full of vices and virtues. And despite that, with each passing day I am convinced that we can reach a healthy middle ground between the two.

I have no doubt that would sound outrageous to your ears, but not everything in life is just white and black.

But anyway, yesterday my dear friend Jackal and I found ourselves in the heart of the Mochi Moon festival. A festival that, me and Jackal learned, where common to leave mochi as an offering to Allocer in the hopes of being blessed with a vision of the moon.

I cant say for sure if Allocer can grant us with these vision or not, and neither Jackal, but what I can say for sure is the many activities all around the festival.

And one of them is to light sparklers.

I must tell you, as the evening sky turned a deep shade of indigo, Jackal and I found ourselves standing amidst many and many buns starting to lit their own sparkles and the enchanting sight that unfolded before my eyes as Jackal as we lit our sparklers...

It was simply breathtaking

I never thought something like this could be done. In the presence of fire and gunpowder, the result was almost like holding a falling star in the palm of your hand.

The sparklers, with their vibrant colors, dancing like a sparkling rain, illuminating the night air with a mesmerizing glow.

I watched as Jackal's eyes widened with childlike wonder, her usually gruff demeanor softened by the enchantment of the moment.

The sparkler in her hand illuminated her face, casting a warm and flickering glow on her features. Her gaze was fixed on the dazzling display of shimmering lights, tracing their path through the night as if she were unraveling a secret.

The festival had cast its spell upon us, transforming our worries and fears into pure delight. The sparklers held in our hands were like tiny stars, guiding us through the darkness and igniting a sense of wonder deep within our souls.

But anyway, I think I've already extended myself too much in this letter, and there is still so much to share about the Mochi Moon festival.

I know you'll never see this leter, but I really hope you are well.

When Dove finally laid the pen down next to the letter, they couldn't prevent a slightly weary sigh.

They still wasn't sure why they had begun to pen these letters to Melangel. They knew that none of this would ever be sent and that Melangel probably wouldn't have any interest in them....

But perhaps this was their way of coping with everything that had happened.

As soon as they finished folding up the letter and putting it in a delicate, lavender-scented envelope, Dove proceeded to seal the letter with a blue wax and finally left the envelope at the bottom of a drawer.

And almost as if on cue, Dove heard Jackal opening the door to the small apartment they shared.

"I'm back!" - she said while closing the door.- "I managed to find almost everything you asked... but I admit there were some things I didn't even know where to start looking for..."

Dove just smiled and went over to Jackal to help with the groceries.

"It's okay, I really appreciate your help... Will you help me cook?"

"Of course! Always!"
