Mixology 101

When Chester was browsing through the Burrowgatory News page, he saw an ad for Cocktail mixing lessons by Hops herself! He clicked the ad and read through it, the price was reasonable and he decided to sign up. Chester always wanted to learn how to mix cocktails and this was the opportunity he waited for.

After signing up he got a confirmation email with the day and date the lesson will be. When the day came, Chester arrived at the Rabbit Hole on time and Hops greeted him friendly. “ Hey Chester!” she said and hugged him, they know each other a little as Chester sometimes visits the Bar. “Hey Hops~” Chester purred and hugged her back. “So you want to learn how to make Cocktails~?” she asked and walked to the Bar Counter. "Yes, gladly!" Chester answered and followed her.

"Great! Now come here I'll show you the basics first! Now to make perfect ice cubes and how to shake the cocktail shaker~” Hops explained and pulled Chester behind the counter. She showed him all of the special Cocktail tools you need to be a good Bartender. Chester is a fast learner and impressed Hops by being able to shake a cocktail like a real pro in less than half an hour. "Wow~! You're a natural!” She cheered. Chester blushed a little and smiled “Thank you~” he said. “No really, I am thinking of booking you as a help on busy days~” she winked and Chester laughed. “Now you're really exaggerating, I was here for only half an hour.” “I know but maybe in the future~ Anyways let's start by making a real drink and not just shaking around. I'll show you my ultimate signature drink, the ‘Hopscotch’!” Hops explained and Chester nodded. He followed her instructions to the detail and was able to create an acceptable version on the Hopscotch. Hops tried it “ Not bad!” She said and patted Chester back.

“If you make more of those you’ll get more routine, just don’t sweat it. Now onto the other main drinks~ I will show you how each is made so listen carefully~!” she said enthusiastically. “ Okay I’ll do my best~” Chester said with a cute smile. For the rest of the evening Hops and Chester made every Drink on the Rabbit Holes card. Chester was getting better and better with each drink and Hops got dizzier after each one she tested. Chester didn't try any of the drinks as he was really determined to learn and that works better with a clear head. Chester laughed a little when they were done and Hops was sitting wobbly at the bar.

“Ill bring you Home okay?” he offered, he didn't want her to get in trouble just because she tested all of his drinks. “Sure~!” she said and stumbled in his arms. Chester brought her home safely. “Thank you again for the lesson today, it was very fun.” He said smiling. “Sure anytime~!” Hops mumbled and got into her house. Chester walked to his home after that and was in a good mood, that was a great day.
