A Brief Break In

The trek to the Church of Sulfur is quite long. Heading there is easy, leaving is the same, but breaking into an off-limits room? Probably hard, but Kazahana knew very well what to do.

It is a common occurrence for him, especially when he “borrows” some spare change from a friend of his.

After teaching Jackal how to lockpick quite a while ago, Kazahana later learned how Jackal can be a bit forceful in fidgeting with the tools, almost breaking the pick itself when she inserted it in a practice lock in her room.

Both succubuns sneakily hide through the halls of the Church of Sulfur before they stand right by the door they just need to deal with.

The entire place is quiet…

Too quiet.

Kazahana checks the door leading to the office now that no one is watching them. He places a hand on the handle and locks the locking mechanism of the door lock.

With it, he then starts tinkering with the door lock.

“Wedge this here, then turn.”

He inserts the L-shaped metallic tool in and then checks the turning point of the lock. It doesn’t turn as it is supposed to, showing that it is indeed locked.

Kazahana made a confident scoff as inserted another tool inside of the lock’s hole which was a long jagged-like tool which is thinner than the L-shaped one.

“After tinkering it on the side, shove this thing in and wiggle it around.”

Kazahana bites his bottom lip and does a slight up-and-down motion of his hand onto the jagged tool.

It reminds Jackal about that time in the dentist. However, the way Kazahana moves his hands is not gentle enough to be considered one in the future.

“Then after fiddling the insides of it, turn it around the side.”

The male succubun makes a couple of quick shoving motions of his tool before a resounding click of the door knob’s lock turns, causing Jackal to hum in surprise.

It looked so easy no matter how many times Kazahana had taught her about it. But Jackal could guess that her uncontrolled strength at times would cause the pick to bend in the lock and Kazahana would complain about buying another set of those fancy-looking lockpicking tools he used for his own "personal agendas."

The door is now open, and Kazahana seems to show it in a much easier manner than expected.

Kazahana said all of those with an odd hint of seriousness as he scoffed a little. He then grabs Jackal's hand to place the tools there so she can hold them for him.

“You always like to make things look easier for anyone to see,” Jackal whined a little causing Kazahana to snicker at her. His sharp fangs showed and glinted in the light of the halls. "Where do you even learn this skill?"

"Self-taught. Too broke to get an instructor to learn." Kazahana then seethes his teeth as he shrugs at her. "You gotta do what you have and besides..."

“...professionals act in a way that looks easy to the audience. Because they know full well what to do.”

Kazahana hustled harder than he intended to this day. Not that he is complaining though since he got something out of this.

Jackal smiles a little, looking a little excited as if she got herself into a new heart-stopping adventure. “Alright, let’s break in.” She said as she removed the lockpicked lock and got in.

The male succubun watches on as Jackal enters excitedly.

But hey, at least he can get into a place that can be an option for him to sneak in for another… fund borrowing, or so he calls it.
