[PROMPT] The Heavely Meadow
Ignition kind of regrets getting Damon involved in all this...but to be honest, its a serious thing and there isn't anyone he can trust more with this. He doesn't want to drag Aria , and even Rowan, into this. He has a knack for getting himself into deep rooted shitty trouble, all by himself!
The silence and determination not to shatter the soft quiet of the winter night didn't hold up for the entire way to the circle. To Mistys landing place. After all, Ignition is here, he has a hard time keeping his yapper shut.
"Are you ever going to explain to me just what this mess is and how deep it runs?" Damon rumbles with frowned concern.
"Its a long story, and we don't have time to blurt the details. We just want Misty to get their memories back, and maybe find out why they're here or where they came from."
Damon glances at Misty, who seems to be growing more unsteady the closer they get to their destination. He's starting to grow worried for them in all honesty, this must be something serious if Ignition felt that he could not handle it alone. Jackal catches Misty as they finally arrive at the shimmer circle, and the newcomer loses all strength. They end up dropping to the ground and their knees, exclaiming how their head feels sore...that its splitting. But the memories are returning.
Finally Ignition to notice the feathers radiant glow suddenly, it seemed to make Misty worse. Jackal almost protectively demanded that he put it away, but he could see it wasn't hurting Misty and most importantly, they could see it too. He hands the feather slowly to the white doll. As tears prick the corner of their eyes with how overwhelmed they have become, they take the feather in hand.
Once they have it, light bursts from it and suddenly Mistys cloak is thrown from their shoulders, entirely disregarded into the snow. They hold the feather up and look towards the sky, determination lining their face as a bright halo forms above their head. Ignition is confused, completely confused, he had never seen the glowing circle before...the one on Mistys head kind of reminded him of the shimmering circle on the ground.
Everything that came next happened to fast, he feels like he got whiplash. Misty -- he means, Dove, that is their name after all -- held the feather and cried to the cavern ceiling and suddenly they had all been moved...elsewhere.
Ignition nurses his head, he's the first to open his eyes. Wherever they are, its bright, it hurts his head a little. A sense of sickly misplacement and wrongness settles in his stomach, and his eyes flit around wildly once they adjust to the horrid light. His shoulders bunch up around his head as he struggles to take in every detail, the more his eyes adjust, the more he sees. Jackal is looking around with what looks like equal parts shock and uncomfortableness. Finally he notices that they're all some sort of....extra fucking green grass? With soft delicate white flowers litterings the healthy colouring. He runs his finger over one curiously, the texture surprises him. He can't explain why...it just wasn't what he'd expected when he reached to touch it. He looks back at Damon and Jackal.
"Where the fuck are we?" He isn't trying to sound nervous of course, but you gotta understand all the shit he's just seen in rapid succession. Dove got their memories back, revealed a big glowing circle over their head, and then teleported them to fuck knows where.
Damon rubs his temples as his eyes take longer to adjust than the younger buns in front of him. He sighs softly as he glances around. Ignition can tell from his facial expression alone that he's extremely unsettled. Then they all finally catch a proper glimpse of where they've been seated. Or rather, where they've been placed.
They're in a meadow, and incredibly pretty meadow. Ignition eyes are blown wide as he looks around, he tries to grip the floor or its grass for some kind of grounding, but it turns out the "ground" that they're on is far from normal. Unlike the solid rocky grounds of the caverns, they seem to be on clouds. Like those clouds that form at the top of the cavern...or the ones that seem to wisp off of some buns themselves. Real, massive, clouds. Taking up the entire floor space...taking up the entire every-space.
As he looks around he just doesn't know what to say. The hills seems as if they go on for a lifetime. As if they go on forever. Despite the beauty of this place he gets the impression they could get lost incredibly fast if they wandered around, so he is content on sticking to Doves side like glue for now. He tries to examine the cloud flooring they seem to be on top of, he sticks his hand down in a jab motion but its solid...so he just really hurts his fingers. He leans down, face to cloud, so he can try and get an idea of HOW the grass is spouting out of actual clouds but...he can't seem to see an answer.
The sunlight hits Ignitions open skin and he doesn't know how to feel. Real sunlight, giving actual warmth, more than even his own flames do. He holds a hand out, as if trying to catch the sunlight like a snowflake, but it just illuminates his entirety. He shares a glance with Jackal who is also looking around with wild surprise. Maybe he's grateful for his home, because he doesn't know if he could live in light this bright all the time...how does Dove not get headaches if they come here all the time?
Damon is completely frozen where he had sat up. In comparison to Ignition and Jackals surprise and wonder, Damon looks very wary and paranoid. He may have heard many things from the demons back when he was raised, but he had hoped them to just be fun stories to spook baby bunnies. These soft clouds and ongoing meadow hills, these flower spotted patches bathed in soft sun. It didn't feel right, and it certainly didn't feel like home. So it also comes to pass that it doesn't exactly feel safe.
"Its so..." Ignitions voice trails. For once the loudmouth seems completely stunned, possibly into silence. They sky was so vividly blue, maybe even more than some of the buns he had seen downstairs. Should he call it downstairs? That feels incorrect, since he doesn't even know the placement of where they are at the moment. For all he knew they could be fucking sideways. Next door neighbours. Hell, maybe THIS was downstairs.
"Yeah" Jackal finishes his sentence, which makes it completley noncoherant but, they're both in a small state of awe it seems.
In the distance, a small cottage sits. They can just barely make out small details of it, and any garden-like plants surrounding it to make it look more presentable.
"I have a bad feeling about this. Be on your guard, We aren't in burrowgatory anymore, That much is clear." Damons stern voice cuts through the awe of the beautiful meadow. He's finally stood on his hooves and watching Dove intently. Its not that he doesn't trust them, Its just that the halo formed around their head and the feather is starting to remind him eerily of tales from Murmur. Tales he never thought he would bother to remember until the unsettling feeling of this new place had washed over him.
Ignition gets up finally and stretches, a grin spreading across his face to mask his unease. "We have me and Jackal here, Whatever happens we'll be fine. At least Dove probably knows where we are-"
He glances around, trying to pinpoint the small white figure only to see them engulfed in what he considers as another blinding light before realising it too is a figure.
"Jackal, Look!" Ignition signals to the new beings wings and they both notice with a start that the feather Dove has, matches the figures wing feathers exactly. Their halo was almost genuinely blinding, they weren't used to this kind of bright light at all. Dove was speaking with the figure, though when they turned to show disgust and verbal malice at the burrowgatory buns Damon becomes defensive immediately.
"You two, Get behind me." He says firmly, taking in the visuals of the figure with what can only be described as fight or flight levels of fear and unease. Ignition scrambles backwards, eyes nervously darting towards the two talking and stumbling back more when the large figure takes steps towards them. Thankfully Dove gets in the way but Damon is still ready to take first hit if things go bad. This figure feels nothing like the warmth of Murmur and it shows, Damon getting a very cold and eerie vibe from them. A vibe of malice. Suddenly these beautiful hills feel less like a wonder they have yet to explore, and more like a prison of which they had no escape.
