A Simple Sin n Tonic

Somehow Limon had talked them into going to Hops for lessons on making drinks and Ione found that irritating as they more skilled in barista for coffee and hot drinks not alcoholic but hey if it got them some delicious ice cream then so be it.
.....That and Limon really didn't want to keep going to The Rabbit Hole to discuss drinks and potential alcoholic flavour combinations for her sweets. With a soft sigh, the bun made their way to The Rabbit Hole. It wasn't unusual for the brown and cream gluttony to favor their bun over their doll. It was more comfortable and they didn't fancy putting on clothes when it wasn't necessary. Soon they were pushing the door into the bar and made their way to the bar. Climbing onto the stool and getting settled on their rear they sighed softly. It had been a long day at the cafe with irrational patrons and Ione really did not want to deal with Hops but the sooner the better.

"Good eveni-WOAH!" Hops' cheerful voice rang out as her feet got tangled and she stumbled across the bar before catching her balance. Ione just buried their face into their hooves with a tired sigh.
"Be careful please, Miss Hops" "Yes ma'am! Er sir? Ma'sir?" Ione levelled her a blank stare and Hops smiled sheepishly.

"You're here for that mixology lesson right?
"Mmhm"
"Want to come around and try it out?"
"No thank you. I learn best by watching and sides, you'll send me home with the recipes right?"
"Correct!" Hops nodded as she gathered ingredients and equipment for drinks making "Any drink in particular?"
"Sin and Tonic please, Miss Hops" Ione prefered to keep their drinks rather simple unlike their longtime friend Limon who favors more complicated ones. It was just fine by them. Hops nodded as she pulled out a bulbous cocktail glass, gin bottle and a soda can. Two simple ingredients. Ione raised an eyebrow as Hops poured ice into the glass

"It is better to keep the glass chilled" she smiled as she got out a simple lime to slice up into wedges for garnish. Ione watched carefully as the ice was swiftly discarded, the gin carefully measured before getting poured into the glass and topped with the sparkling soda. The lime wedge was stuck onto the edge and rubbed around the brim before the drink was being slid across the counter toward the bun.

Ione carefully took a small sip and nodded at Hops "Not bad. Simple yet tasty. Thank you."
