Coincidence @ Grocery Store

Fuyuko had forgotten to go shopping earlier in the day for groceries so she could start preparing for a gathering in few days and she was grumbling about it as the only grocery store at this current hour was one that had a rule about being bun-only. The prideful bun did not favor her bun form but she had no choice. Sighing, the starry bun grabbed her shopping cart, well, more of a wagon and dragged it with her to the bun-only grocery store that was several streets over. She really hated going over there because of the hassle but she had no choice. She had made the decision to leave her hat behind and left the house.

 

Fuyuko had only one dish left to make and she had not decided on what it would be. Potato salad? Fruit salad? Lasagna? Casserole? Stuffed mushroom caps? Fuyuko hummed as she reached the entrance only to pause as a blue purple lust bun wearing a face mask entered. Her tail flickered as she found the other bun rather familiar but shrugged. She entered and headed immediately for the fresh produce section. More specifically, the mushrooms. There were SO MANY varieties! Chanterelle, Enoki, King Oysters, Maitake, Morel, Shimeji, and Porcini. All delicious mushrooms and perfect for any other recipe but they were simply the wrong shape for what Fuyuko was wanting to make. However it was the Button that she wanted. Small yet has lovely curved cup top; perfect for stuffing! Fuyuko smiled as she grabbed a large container for her wagon. She then spotted Truffles and immediately threw that into wagon, thinking she wanted to use it for unrelated recipe! She then grabbed two containers of garlic nearby before wandering through the fresh produce section. 

 

"Hmm what do I need....I already have oil at home...Oh right I just ran out of onion powder and I don't have cayenne powder. Both should be in the seasoning aisle!" Fuyuko went through her mental list before making a beeline for the seasoning aisle. She paused at the sight of a certain blue purple bun with vine markings on ears. Why are they so familiar? Sighing and shrugging her shoulders, the bun headed down aisle till she found the two containers she needed. Off they went straight into the wagon and she excused herself as she moved past the other bun. Then Fuyuko smacked her forehead and hurried back for container of black pepper as she had just used them up earlier that day.

 

Fuyuko headed to the pseudo dairy section where assorted selection of cheeses in all forms could be found. There were large section made from nuts and seeds however there was a smaller section made from newly discovered plants. Fuyuko hummed in thought as she wandered the section. She paused at sight of that bun from earlier and moved away to peer at the plants origin section. The eggweed one intrigued her but she had a feeling it would not work with what she was wanting to make. However, the eggweed based parmesan would absolutely work so that went into her wagon.

The blue starry prideful bun wandered down toward the cream cheese section and sulked at assorted choices. 

Did she want plain? Did she want chives? The sweet options she did not even consider as she wanted savory for her appetizers. There was a smoked flavor which intrigued Fuyuko. She wondered if she could mix smoked and chives flavours together. Would it work? She discarded the spicy options because she wasn't one for spicy dishes and she already had the cayenne powder. She also discarded the garlic and onion options for same reasons; ingredients already in wagon. She did end up on grabbing three blocks; chives, smoked and dill. They would work together nicely.

She then turned around only to pause at that lust bun staring at her. 

 

Unnerved, she hurried away and toward the seasonings aisle. She had realized that she had ran out of paprika earlier and needed to restock. Fuyuko then wandered around the store before heading to registers only to groan when the bun in front of her had huge amount of items to purchase. She sighed and her tail flickered impatiently. Feeling eyes boring into her, Fuyuko turned around only to startle at the sight of that bun from earlier. They were glaring at her and she realized exactly who it was now.

"Were you following me?" they accused and she glared at them, rather offended

 

"Fuck no! I came here to shop. Us being in same area repeatedly throughout the store was some coincidence. Don't be full of yourself, Velveteen was it? Not everyone is your fan" she snapped as she turned back to purchase her things. It was over with quickly and she was leaving the store when Velveteen caught up with her to apologize and to explain that it was a long week and they got paranoid. She sighed and accepted the apology.
