In bun form, Annalise is a sight to behold. Her magnificently fluffy angora fur is dotted with clouds, stars, and a moon in a swirling purple sky, cut across to white purity by a string of stars. Their blue right eye is encompassed in a crescent moon, while their purple left eye is nestled into a star. Curly purple hair sits on top of her head, while her two long yellow ears are often pulled back into puffs. Golden pride horns sit proudly atop her head, as her bottom hooves are also gilded. Beautiful purple and gold fair wings sprout from their back with whimsical tails trailing off of them, but the wings on their right side have been seemingly torn off of their body. Finally, a small gold and red crown, along with a heart piercing on her right ear, as well as a final golden cuff on the end of her tail show her worth and status, as clearly someone likes her enough to buy her expensive presents.

In doll form Annalise is quite slim and small statured. Her fur and face markings seem to pave way for similar vitiligo placement on her dark complexion. Purple and pink hair in a longer bob cut frames their face pleasantly. They usually dress in blues and simpler light dresses, halter tops, and skirts, but will wear anything feminine, cutesy, or comfortable. Annalise’s crown, ear piercing, and tail cuff are usually worn by her whenever she isn’t nearby her long time partner Mikayla, to show others the value she is worth.

Annalise is a bun primarily known for being a pure and sweet bean. They are friendly, kind-hearted, and always eager to lend a helping hand to those in need. Her main concern is being a nice and compassionate individual, often going out of her way to ensure the happiness of others. This is due to the circumstances of their rearing; they have vowed to never harm another bun. This often gets Annalise into trouble, as she can be an extreme pushover that is readily and often taken advantage of by others, whether that be for their own amusement or for nefarious purposes. They relied heavily on the Church of Sulfur for guidance upon introduction to Burrowgatory, but after the traumatic event that triggered her vow, the Church is now at odds with them as they have become the embodiment of innocence, never committing acts of sin.

In addition to her amiable personality, Annalise is highly skilled and deeply involved in the fine arts. They posses a wide range of talents, excelling in various artistic disciplines such as playing the harp, sculpting, painting, singing, composing music, and sewing. Her creativity knows no bounds, and she finds immense joy in expressing herself through these mediums. Though the cause of her vice of pride, Annalise has since humbled themselves to the point where they shy away at praise or compliments of their crafts. Continual attention causes her to become easily flustered to the point of fight or flight. 

Annalise’s demeanor is characterized by her bubbly and excitable nature. They exude an infectious energy that draws buns towards them, always willing to chat and make new friends. Despite others being drawn to her presence, Annalise can become fatigued and prefers short bursts of social interaction rather than drawn-out gatherings. They relish the opportunity to discuss nature and most importantly, space! Annalise’s ultimate dream is to become an astronaut, yearning to explore the vast wonders of the universe as she knows more wonders exist beyond the vast caverns of her world underground.

Interestingly, Annalise has a unique connection with imps. Due to her kind and accommodating nature, imps are naturally drawn to her, viewing her as an easy target to gain food or attention. This, in turn, frustrates her partner Mikayla, who usually has to find and capture imps through more traditional means, whereas imps seemingly manifest out of nowhere around Annalise. Even Hutch occasionally seeks their help with wrangling more feisty or difficult imps.

Annalise’s character embodies purity, artistic brilliance, and an unwavering desire to make Burrowgatory a better place. With her endearing qualities and infectious enthusiasm, she captivates the hearts of those around her, leaving a lasting impression wherever she goes.
