Love is a bartender who works in a very high-end independent bar that is essentially open through day and night. He has come into a lot of money in the past (protegé kind of deal) and has made a lot on his own doing "this 'n that" before he settled down as a bartender, so he doesn't need to always be on-call and therefore he Isn't. Basically he actually gets to work for fun without needing to worry about getting around now, so he's doing that.
