Whimsical Aio can be occasionally insufferable as she talks proudly about even small personal achievements and pretends things are easy-peasy. It can be over something as simple as, “I ate a cookie today!” or as flashy as, “There’ll be a giant ice sculpture ice-sculpture of me in the parade, because I beat the Mc-Millionaire mascot in a dance battle.” Whatever she thinks might earn her her daily dose of praise. She doesn’t boast to put others down. Rather, she tends to be oblivious to her poor timing there and unconcerned with how she comes across anyway. In her mind, there is plenty of spotlight to go around. So why shouldn’t she get some?

She doesn’t like to talk about it, but she secretly practices very hard on her own. The lady is prideful in that she wishes she was actually a genius or special and can’t handle much criticism of her efforts. She gets especially upset whenever anyone tries to diminish her accomplishments. Especially after a childhood of being pushed relentlessly by her wealthy demon caretaker, who had very little tolerance for her struggles and expected excellence from her in various capacities. The hard work never mattered. Only results.

The constant grind to keep up with her littermates and not embarrass her caretaker was exhausting, because this particular demon wanted bragging rights over their rivals for raising the season’s most accomplished and pedigree succubuns. (They really were treated more like trained show pets than children.) Aio’s demon even donated copious amounts of money to the church to have first pick of the litter. He was very selective of the buns he took in, judging them based on the success of the buns’ sires and dams. The fact that Aio didn’t express her gifts as strongly as buns in her bloodline disappointed him greatly.

Despite the ‘unfortunate results,’ Aio was pushed to be ready in time for her formal debut in burrow society on TV as a circus-themed idol. Her career didn’t last, however, as shortly after her first few shows, Aio was introduced to a rich bun who she was expected to breed with and produce exceptional offspring during the next mating season. It wasn’t even that her selected partner was generally repulsive. But the bun had offered money to collect her for their playbun harem, which Aio resented. Rather than letting her demon sell her off that way, Aio arranged for a mysterious explosive disaster to bring down the ceiling over her, by which she staged her disappearance.

Ever since then, Aio has fought to escape her former caretaker’s influence. As the demon won’t let her go so easily, he has found her time and time again and attempted to coerce her into obedience. He is ever present in the background, dangling promises of support that comes with too many strings attached.

Aio promised herself she wouldn’t let anyone make her feel like a throw-away or like she “will never be enough” ever again. And several acts of defiance later, she has finally found some measure of freedom. She explores making a living under a different name than she was given, simply trying to live a happy life as Aio.

Upon meeting certain adventurous friends, she was greatly inspired. So now her dream is to become the “Best Tour Guide to Anywhere ☆” ever. Why? Because Aio hasn’t been to many places in person, however, she has been reading new things and watching movies lately about all of these different kinds of people… and even different worlds. Even if most of it may be fantasy, it excites her to think she is finally free to find out what’s real.

Since Aio really wants to believe in things like magic and unexplained supernatural phenomena, she tends to be overly trusting of certain kinds of tips and advice. She believes people when they tell her fantastical things happened. Will always buy the scammer’s magic trinkets on the off chance it actually works. For her, proving the existence of magic would mean anything is possible. And “Wouldn’t that be amazing? ♡”

If she’s going to spend time researching and learning new things, she might as well find a way to get paid for it, no? Officially, she has only earned her license to give tours for a few historic sites throughout the Burrowgatory and its outskirts, including the old demon war ruins scattered around Bungeon Dungeon. This, of course, does not stop her from advertising herself for other locations and mistakenly answering job ads for shady activities. (Qualifications? She read about it in a book or online once.) Aio has a special place in a few thieves' hearts for accidentally helping them break into a place (oops)... then, upon realizing her mistake? Going with the flow anyway. It is, after all, how she befriended Remi and Sajjita.

Although Aio is very good at keeping an eye out for dangers from the physical environment, one of her major weaknesses is that she tends to trust in her luck a little too far when it comes to meeting strangers. She genuinely doesn’t think most of the dangerous people she meets would harm her. Not until they give her a good clear reason to believe it. Her buddies tend to be protective of her in that regard, even if she tries not to worry them by swearing she can handle it herself

• When angry, Aio seethes and suggests extreme and/or silly things that she really doesn’t mean. Lighting people on fire? Sounds a lil much once she cools down. (But dumping salt in coffee? Glueing cell phones to the ceiling? Glitter bombing the inside of their car? And maintaining eye contact while knocking over a bowl of their favorite cereal? All fair game.) Will call a friend out on their BS if it’s directed at her.
• Aio likes placing pointless bets with her friends on the outcomes of other people's shenanigans. 
• Bit of a thrill-seeker. Gets scared– and honestly kinda likes it. Might freak out, but loves laughing with friends about it later.
• She will apologize if she thinks she’s gone too far. But it may take her an extra minute to suss out whether she has really hurt someone through her actions. Her sincerity varies. A true sign that she’s remorseful tends to be that she offers to try to fix or make-up it somehow. Otherwise? She’ll try to move on quickly and hope no one asks her for more.
• If Aio is genuinely trying to comfort someone, she’s sort of shy about it. For instance, she’ll sheepishly offer to let them borrow her favorite knife. But in general, she tries to find things to share that she thinks they might like. I.e. She offers to show them some magazines and suggests maybe they could look through it together. Collects pictures of their favorite imps… And she looks for small things she can do for them, such as running an errand for them, inviting them out for a walk, and trying to figure out how to compliment them on something they care about. Person is having esteem issues today? “Well, um… I don't know. I still think you’re pretty great.”
• She is a relaxed but sorta sloppy drunk in that it really messes with her coordination. So she tends to stumble around and bump into things a lot. Small so it doesn’t take much for her to get tipsy.
• She is more than capable of having mature and heartfelt conversations. It’s just a matter of whether someone bothers to try or she thinks it’s worth her while. She is usually pleasantly surprised if people don’t make certain assumptions about her. And as long they aren’t some kind of condescending a$$-hat about it, she’ll try to open up.

Aio talks a good game like sex is no big deal. And for the most part with her, that’s true. She doesn’t get flustered by PDA or spicy conversations. Isn’t shocked by nudity or frightened of intimacy, etc. But she has a wee complex over the fact that she is not, in fact, comfortable taking the lead in bed or dominating. She lies (terribly) that she is a pro, a top, and super confident in her performance. Oh how she wishes that was the case.

Anyone who does actually manage to get her into bed, however, would immediately discover… she is the most hopelessly bottom of bottoms. Suddenly wildly shy. And hella embarrassed, because she has not made peace with that fact. Out of bed, she would win a fight against a daisy. In bed? Somehow, the daisy still tops.

Moreover, Aio is attracted to people who are good at being affectionate and intimate without it necessarily being about the sex. She can really enjoy herself, but she is slow to warm up to her partners. That’s not to say she refuses to make the first move or express interest in someone once in a while. But especially aggressive flirts tend to put her off.

She has little relationship experience. This is partially because the first and only bun she has been in a physical relationship with so far was truly a selfish brute in bed. She isn’t entirely aware that there are many other ways to make love and shies away from the idea of being treated that way again.

If Aio ever were to explore relationships again, she might do friends with benefits. But as soon as romance is involved, she doesn’t really like to share. Because benefits are all well and good. But if Aio is going to have an actual lover, she’ll choose someone who makes her feel special.
