MYO-4930: Angel

Burrowgatory could be an overwhelming and scary place for recent cherubun arrivals, hence the need for the Heavenly Embassy’s multitude of services to help them get settled into their new long lives. But what happened when a cherubun just couldn’t wait to explore their new surroundings, and chose to forgo the embassy’s lessons and words of caution in lieu of getting a feel for the big city? They might end up just like Angel, who got a whole lot more than he bargained for when he decided to wander the city…

Like many cherubuns who make the fateful jump down to Burrowgatory, Angel is overly-curious—noticeably so. He’s incredibly observant and, despite his imposing height and physique, more like a giant teddy bear than anything else: sweet-natured, affectionate, and docile. Within the meadow, there were many cherubuns whom he had the luxury of calling his friends thanks to his desire to be helpful and his eagerness to please, spending much of his time assisting others when it was asked of him. In Burrowgatory, it wasn’t hard for succubuns to take advantage of that particular trait of his…and not even a full day into Angel’s descent, he was getting roped into a cabaret club by a sharp-eyed succubun with grand plans for his future.

The cabaret club, a high-end establishment by the name of Velvet Temptations, welcomed Angel with open arms and immediately introduced him to concepts that he probably should have learned about within the Heavenly Embassy’s walls instead. One thing led to another, and before he knew it, he became a host at the cabaret club only a day later. Angel proved to be an instant hit with patrons of the club, as a novelty in both species and his relatively demure attitude when it came to sex work, and brought in plenty of new clients who wanted to sate their curiosity and see what it was like to spend time with a cherubun.

As it turned out, Angel loved the job—more than he’d like to admit, not that he ever would admit to working there when speaking with other cherubuns. He genuinely enjoyed listening to his clients talk about their days and boast about their accomplishments, he loved the camaraderie held by the staff of the club, and perhaps most surprisingly…he loved the sex. This, however, has caused him a bit of internal turmoil thanks to Melangel’s teachings. While he wasn’t exactly concerned with upholding a virtuous lifestyle now that he was in Burrowgatory, he’s been grappling with guilt and shame, concerned with how quickly he “stooped” to the level of the succubuns that others like Primrose so disliked. He hides the shame well, unwilling to involve others in his own personal plight—but maybe one day he’ll learn that opening up to others isn’t such a bad thing.
