While Emrys generally doesn't mean to come across as haughty, he is a bit much for some people to handle. He has a deep love for learning, is passionate about academia, and makes it his life's mission to promote education throughout the Burrowgatory. However, he is arrogant about his own academic achievements and condescending toward those he considers under educated. He may tolerate ignorance, but he particularly disdains the willfully ignorant. Because he struggles to understand why anyone would be content with simply not knowing the important things in life. Yes, Emrys can occassionally remember that subjects he considers to be important may not be important to other people. But that doesn't make him any less frustrated.

In fact, Emrys doesn't consider himself particularly brilliant, but he does take immense pride in his dedication to intellectual pursuits. Thus, he seeks like-minded individuals to help him promote his vision. He thinks the burrows will overall be a better place for everybun if only everyone was better educated! Truly, his intentions are 'benevolent,' and he laments how that alone has never been enough to inspire change.

Though it grates him to do so, he has resorted to investing in taking care of his appearance,6 in attempt to draw the attention of the masses. For even he recognizes the power of sex appeal. And he has it on good authority (and research) that he is sufficiently stunning. He'd feel foolish if he let such a convenient tool go to waste. In other words, he will be as publicly pretty as he has to be to get people to sign up for classes or study harder.

His PR agent pushes him into some embarrassing promotions. (It seems highly questionable to raffle off Emrys pin-up posters and other merch to buns who completed their semesters with passing scores.) And Emrys is very unimpressed by attention from those without any academic ambition. But he will do just about anything to motivate students and staff.

- Emrys' favorite overall subjects are Political and Military History. But if you ask him the general question without specifying, he will begin naming several: one fave from each academic field.

- Emrys really likes playing chess. (If he got along at all with Aio or Fate, he'd play them. But no.)

- Emrys is not a big fan of slapstick humor. Prefers things like college humor and math jokes. He also laughs at some "dad jokes" and he hates that he does.

- His favorite drink is unironically water. And he secretly hates tea! He pretends to like tea, for the sake of socializing, choosing to suffer in silence if tea is offered. His alcohol tolerance is also absolutely pathetic, so he's careful not to put himself in situations to reveal the fact. He only really likes quality wines and champaign anyway.
