JACK-OF-ALL-TRADES RINGER
Extravagent · Eccentric · Self-serving · Lavish
"I deserve nothing less."
The picture of eccentricity, Jack-of-all-trades Ringer, colloquially known as Jack, is the renowned owner of an extremely successful burlesque club. Standing at 5'11" and constantly being adorned in bells, Jack is hard to miss in a crowd, even amongst the colorful cast of the Burrowgatory. He's known for his big personality and true embodiment of his sin, greedy to their core. Caught somewhere between appearing incredibly selfish, vain, and high maintenance and appearing open to all, friendly, and compassionate, Jack is just as larger-then-life as the performing arts that she specializes in.
Much like the constant energy and life that courses through their club, Jack is constantly "on" always public facing and over the top, they despise being bored and unfulfilled, growing agitated and incredibly irate if forced to remain idle for too. No one knows what Jack is like behind the constant persona of extravagence, some say there isn't an "off" for the bun, that this is exactly who she is all the way through. For an underground informant and seller of secrets behind the scenes, Jack keeps their privacy very close to his chest. . Much to her advantage, most people can't withstand too much of him to find out more about him.

Design Notes
Jack's aesthetic stylings lead towards the extravagent and overdressed. Mixing whatever fashion costs the most, a closet brimming with clothing of all sorts, silks, satins, and fishnets stoned in jewels that cost more carats then most people's homes. The thing that ties all of his outfits together is that they're always adorned in a plethora of bells, hanging from everything she can attach them to.
Their color palette leans towards red, black, and green accents. All the jewellry she'll ever put on her body being solid gold. Expensive, over the top, luxurious.
Trivia
- Jack's last name of "Ringer" is unknown to the wider public, and for some reason he seems extremely reluctant to use it.
- The ear ribbons are attached to the ear cuffs she wears so they're removable.
- Changes sex characteristics at random to whatever they feel like
- Can do most of the visual arts except sculpture, even despite his best efforts to learn the skill she's failed repeatedly, it's her biggest irritation.
- Takes and dishes out flirting like a champion but chronically known for flaking on following through
Relationships
Lovers, confidants, business partners, and friends. Mel and Jack have had a 'will they, won't they' style relationship practically since they met. The two performers are obsessed with each other, clearly deeply invested in whatever it is they won't put a name on between them. Even despite the needlessly complicated way they avoid confessing or committing to one another, it's obvious that they care about each other immensely. And that isn't about to change any time soon.
Jack considers Mel to be their 'better half.' With a VIP seat in Hells Bells and a key to Jack's private room, it's obvious that there's more then just a strong friendship between them. Most mistake them to be together and neither are quick to correct the mistake.
Church has been a Bell at the Hells Bells for a very long time. A constant presence in Jack's lively and tumultuous life as well as one of their best performers. Jack has been sheltering Church for almost as long as the burlesque club has been standing and she would move mountains to ensure his safety and comfort.
Having been around one another for so long, the two are practically best friends and know far too much about the ins and outs of each others lives to ever separate now. Even still, Church is one of the few in Jack's life who's willing to get knee deep in the grittier parts of the job to be an aid to him. Something that Jack doesn't take lightly.

Story
Hear
Hells Bells, a name well known amongst the Burrowgatory's glimmering streets. A burlesque house operated by the eccentric and extravagent Jack-of-all-trades Ringer, a greed succubun who well embodies his vice. If there's a slice of the pie, they want in. Hells Bells has been around for what feels like forever, a house of debauchery and sin, the front is a huge gallery room with a stage at it's head framed like an opera house for performances of all manners, mostly of the burlesque variety. High arching rooves and an inviting bar just off to the side, still in view of the performances. Hells Bells is a gorgeous establishment, always gussied up to the nines. The last quarter of the building is four off shoot hallways leading out of the gallery, lined with private rooms for events or... whatever else a customer is willing to pay for, should the dancer in question be offering. The buns who work at Hells Bells are all appropriately called "Bells." And they all answer to Jack.
He runs the place with a peak efficiency, the Bells bring in carats, and it all goes to him. In exchange, he ensures the Bells are housed, clothed, and kept safe. When it's their time to move on to bigger and better careers, they leave empty handed, but with the connections they made along the way. Despite the outset dubious nature of the way the place works, it's not a prison for the Bells involved. A rather generous deal if you asked the head of house. Because of this deal, Hells Bells has become something of a haven and halfway house for runaways and buns looking to get away from their old lives. A fresh start with a 0 carat entry fee. With Jack as something of a savior, mentor, and boss.
For the buns entering the scene with little experience in the performing arts, it's up to Jack and some of her more senior Bells to show them the ropes. Surprisingly not all talk, Jack is quite the talent. Any skill they can get their hands on they want to master, dancing, singing, people pleasing, and manipulation, she makes sure that her Bells are well equipped to carry the prestigious name being one of his employees, though he is loathe to use that word. Despite his deeply self serving nature, Jack is known to have something of a soft spot for their establishment and it's dutiful Bells.
Them
Under the surface it's not all so pristine, and this is where the real carats are made. The Bells, and Jack's, secondary objective outside of entertainment is information gathering. The bigger info they bring in, the better luxuries they're afforded. And Jack hoards information like a dragon. Secrets, blackmail, dirty laundry, you name it, he hears it. Nothing goes on in the Burrowgatory that doesn't trickle back to Jack's hands eventually. And they will sell that information to the highest bidder. Connections all over keep Hells Bells in their good books if they want to stay ahead of the competition. And Jack is happy to provide. For the right price.
Jack's ties go deep into the underground, a name in every book from every corner of the Burrowgatory. Though most of her dealings are with the mob, and the more nefarious members of their already dark and dirty society. Not that Jack cares. Her loyalties can be bought, even if he's known to play favorites behind the scenes, for a big enough paycheck, Jack would sell out their own mother.
Chime
The head of house herself is known as something of a jackal in the hen house, cunning, self serving, and petty. She strives to have everything they can get their hands on. Skills, trinkets, luxuries, you name it. Jack wants it. They're easy to rile to frustration because of their high expectations and selfish nature, but they try to keep their composure around contacts and when entertaining guests. Not much is known outside of Jack's work as head of house, even though they seem just as willing to talk and talk and talk about anything prompted, especially if it's about themself, they have a talent for speaking a lot and saying little. Either way, they're a connection everyone wants to have. so long as you can suffer their grandiose personality, and for good reason.
Possessions are delightful, but information is forever.
