almost always, they appear to be absolutely swamped— everything's too fast, too overwhelming, and all these letters can't deliver themselves, can they? nervous and high-strung, they look like they're always a couple seconds away from a meltdown... somehow, there's a determination that, although not stopping them from taking naps on company time, still keeps them from quitting delivery work altogether.

in desperate need of some anxiety medications. maybe a cigarette. maybe a "friend". they're a lot less meek than they come off as, as a warning; think of an overworked minimum wage worker with nothing left to lose.
