MYO-2142: Lucky

There's a story Lucky loves to tell over a drink or six. It's a story of a high-roller, a nameless gambler who'd seduced Lady Luck herself, a man who couldn't lose. He cleared the casinos in Burrowgatory of their carats with enough royal flushes to make a king blush. Of course, good luck comes cheap when you keep an ace up your sleeve. The man's winning streak came to a permanent end once word of his cheating worked its way up to the heads of the casinos he swindled. His vices cost him an arm and a leg - and in the end, all his luck won him was a long fall into a shallow grave.

Some people say Lucky resembles that unfortunate man - at least, half of him does. He couldn't possibly be the same person, though. If that man once seduced Lady Luck, apparently her love for him ran out. Lucky's self-given nickname is more wishful thinking than fact. Perpetually broke or broken, misfortune follows him everywhere he limps his stitched-up carcass to. Then again, the man he speaks of cheated some of the most powerful people in Burrowgatory - maybe he could cheat death, too.
