Personality

Icarus is the odd one out in their circles. Nonspeaking in most cases, but observant and incredibly emotionally intelligent. They try to understand those around them fully before making any sudden acts towards them. Finding who is an acquaintance and who is unhealthy to associate with, this is often determined on the first encounter with them. From then on, they are extremely upfront on their feelings and will make it clear their level of comfort.

Most interactions with Icarus will be simple and straightforward. Their quiet nature will make small talk essentially non-existent, and their honest actions and reactions will ideally make it impossible to misconstrue or misinterpret their intentions. They like listening to music and enjoying the atmosphere of their setting. The lack of verbal communication may be hard for most, but they will do their best to respond to anything said to them however they can. Although it's best to keep talking to a minimum and find activities to do together to fill the time. They are happy to play games, or just explore. As long as they trust who they're with, they will enjoy anything they're doing.

Background

Icarus is the owner of a record shop, the name of which has curiously never been officially stated. They tend to spend most of their time at their shop, and rarely go out alone. Although possibly coaxed out either by events and celebrations happening around Burrowgatory, or when being accompanied by acquaintances. They opt out of most social activities, instead being a confident watcher. This has led to them being the one set to take photos or videos of others in social settings.

With the lack of motivation to travel alone, there are specific circumstances that pull Icarus from their hole in the wall. That being, hunting for new musicans to procure albums for their shop. They endorse up and coming musical talents, and try to give them a place to sell their new music. This has led to a wide variety of genres, artist, and their subsequent fanbases finding their way to Icarus' in one way or another.

Youth

Icarus was always a quiet creature. They spent most of their time alone, not from choice. They simply didn't communicate with the others in a way they could understand.

Other Succubuns in Murmur's care communicated with one another and were quick to develop their interests and personalities. But from the outside, Icarus seemed like a blank slate. Uninterested in any of the activities, games, or friendships that others offered. Instead, they spent most of their time watching and listening. Loud noises and large crowds, they found them both discomforting and intriguing.

Their littermates would remark them as forgettable, but Icarus remembered each and every one of them thoroughly. Murmur would spend the time to communicate with them in an attempt to understand why they seemed not to make friends or relationships. But he'd quickly realize that Icarus wasn't able to speak, instead opting for physical touch or gestures to communicate. This came across to others as antisocial, but this would be the deepest form of trust that could be offered to those they considered family.

If only they could understand that.
