Audric used to be a devoted member of the church, someone who was amazed and curious by the demons that raised his species. He was raised by a demon woman who was very kind to him, spoiled him even. During many instances, she spoke to him about her race and about her powers and Audric, as the young Succubun that he was, absorbed every word like a sponge. She played a significant role in Audric's upbringing. She taught him about the history of demons, their abilities, and their complex society. Audric was enthralled by her stories and often found himself daydreaming about the world outside of Burrowgatory, longing to explore it one day. This fascination led him to join the church, where he worshiped the demons he believed had enlightened his species.

However, this all changed with the tragic death of his best friend, who was killed by an evil demon. The incident shattered Audric's idealized view of demons and revealed the darker, more dangerous side of their existence. Him and his best friend had been inseparable since childhood and having him die in his arms, brutally wounded, changed his world forever. 

During his time of grief, Audric discovered the existence of a secret demon hunter organization that operated covertly within the church. This group was devoted to preserving the delicate balance between Succubuns and external threats, eliminating those that visited their burrow to cause harm and chaos. Recognizing the opportunity to gain the skills and resources he needed to avenge his friend’s death, Audric sought out this organization and was initiated into their ranks. 

Now he's an experienced hunter and mentor himself. He still keeps his priest title purely out of necessity, so he can keep utilizing the church’s resources for his own benefit.
