MYO-1364: Madeira

Madeira was raised by an unusual demon who considers food the most valuable thing in the world.  He didn't set out to raise her into a chef, but it was a natural step for a young bun who craved importance to take.  As her cooking improved, his praise became more profuse, and it was little surprise when she developed pride horns.

She found the return to Burrowgatory to be very challenging.  She'd been raised pretty much alone, and didn't know how to socialize very well, and not to mention, she didn't know what carats were - she very famously tried to place bets at the Wonderland Casino using actual carrots.  It took some time and serious work from Mercy (and Angora, funnily enough) to get her to a point where she knew enough about things besides cooking to be capable of living on her own, which did a lot to make her a more humble bun.

These days, she runs a diner in Burrowgatory, where she is, of course, the head chef.  It's pretty popular, and she has hopes of eventually expanding to having a fancy restaurant in addition to it.  Her old demon caretaker likes to swing by to visit often, because he can't get enough of her food...well, that, and the first time he visited after she learned how much she didn't know, she told him that any buns he had to raise in the future would need to get education on things like 'money' before being ready for Burrowgatory.  Naturally, he interpreted this as meaning he should bring them to her - so every so often, he shows up with any young buns he is raising to eat tasty pies while she tries to explain what money is to a bunch of teenagers who have been raised to think that pie is the most valuable thing in the world.  It gives her a unique level of sympathy for what Mercy and Angora had to do for her.

If she were human, Madeira would probably identify somewhere on the asexual spectrum. While she does enjoy sex, she's not really specifically attracted to other buns on sight. Rather, she develops attraction in time, very often from having her cooking praised. Unsurprisingly, this means she has a great number of friends (and fwbs) with gluttony horns. She finds she enjoys 'taking care' of other buns in varying senses, from feeding them to how she fucks them, and could be described as a sort of service top - her partners tell her what they want, and she does it.
