Makias is the definition of “dont ever meet your heroes”, he is a beautifully, selfish man whose only reason for helping others is to have them owe him for his kindness. He runs a theater popular for its extravagant performances and dazzling productions, drawing in audiences from all over the Burrowgatory. At the center of it all is Makias himself—The main act, the almost magnetic figure, the mastermind behind the scenes, always the star of the show.

But the theater is just a cover for his real work: running a loan shark office. The fancy lobby hides the shady deals happening in the back rooms, where people come to borrow money and end up trapped by debt.

The actors he hires are mostly poor, struggling buns he picks up off the street. They come to him in need, hungry, tired and lost. He offers them a warm place to stay, a steady job and a chance at something better.
