A brothel and bar was as good a place as any for many buns to find partners for Matentines. The couples who had been matched by the church would have a nice casual space to talk and get to know one another before deciding on if they'd do the deed or not, and those who's dates fell through or weren't able to find good pairings could find a working bun who'd be more than happy to spend some quality times with them for a handful of carrats.
