hello! resubmitting this prompt with the appropriate and requested edits, to make clear ethel is talking about a religious figure :) to be quite honest i'm still up in the air about who the Father of the church is to her - whether he's simply a religious figure or her literal DAD, so the confusing ambiguity was a result of my own indecisiveness HAHA. but i think the rejection made me settle on him being leader of the church she's part of.
